Base Class: Wizard
The study of magic is a long and arduous process that has caused many divisions in the wizard community. One such divide is the Order of Mirrors: a cloister dedicated to the study of the effects of the Astral Plane on magic through the use of mystical mirrors containing Astral energy. To an Order of Mirrors wizard, there is no greater fear and adoration than the mysteries of the Astral Plane.
Astral Mirror
At 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to magically create a Medium-sized Astral Mirror in an unoccupied 5x5 space you can see within 30 feet of you. This semi-transparent magical mirror takes the form of your choosing and lasts until it is destroyed, you dismiss it as a bonus action, you manifest more mirrors than your limit, or you're incapacitated.
Your mirror has AC 14 + your proficiency bonus, 1 hit point, and immunity to all conditions. If it has to make a saving throw, it automatically fails. It occupies the space it is in.
- When your mirror is directly in the path of a spell attack with a Line Range (such as Lightning Bolt) it can redirect the remaining length of the spell in any direction you choose.
- As a bonus action, you can make the mirror teleport up to 30 feet in any direction. If your mirror is ever more than 90 feet from you at the end of your turn, it is destroyed.
The number of Astral Mirrors you can summon increases when you reach higher levels: two mirrors at 5th level, three mirrors at 11th level, and four mirrors at 17th level. When you choose to summon or move the Astral Mirrors as a bonus action, you may summon or move the maximum number of mirrors you can access.
Improved Mirror Image
At 3rd level, you know the Mirror Image spell and always have this spell prepared. You can cast this spell without expending a spell slot once per long rest.
Additionally, you may target an Astral Mirror within 30 feet when casting Mirror Image instead of yourself. When cast this way, any ally within 10 feet of the Astral Mirror gains the benefit of Mirror Image, though the Illusory Duplicatres created by Mirror Image are shared between all recipients.
Concave Surface
At 6th level, when you cast a spell or cantrip that deals damage in a cone, burst, or radius shape, you can temporarily replace the shape of the area of effect to a 5ft wide line. The length of the line is equal to two times the unaltered length of the spell. For example, the length of a Fireball's area of effect is 40ft (20ft radius x 2), meaning that the length of the line when altered with the Concave Lenses feat is 80ft (40ft x 2) instead.
At 10th level, the length of the altered range is equal to three times the unaltered length of the spell.
Convex Surface
At 10th level, when you redirect a line spell with your Astral Mirror, you can change the shape of the area of effect to a cone instead of a line. The length of the cone is equal to the remaining length of the spell when it was redirected by your mirror.
Additionally, when you hit your mirror with a spell that targets a single entity, the range of the spell is reset (as though it were cast from the mirror's space) and you choose a new target. The range of the spell is only reset the first time it hits one of your mirrors on your turn.
Astral Reflection
At 14th level, when a creature with line of sight and within 30 feet of one of your Astral Mirrors makes an action, you can create a reflection of the action in your mirror as a reaction. Astral reflections take your concentration if you do not immediately use it, which can be done at will. When the astral reflection is used, an illusory image of the creature and action it is performing is created from any astral mirror of your choosing. The mirror is then destroyed and is unable to be summoned again until a long rest has been finished. If the action is a spell, you will have to cast it at the same or higher level, or you cannot store a reflection of it. If the action requires concentration, you must concentrate to maintain it. If the action can be targeted, you may choose the target as though the astral mirror made the action. You use your Intelligence Modifier whenever the action refers to an ability Modifier or saving throw DC.
