Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Last Light is sworn by those who stand at the threshold between life and death. They are guardians of the dying, hunters of those who defy the natural order, and protectors of souls who might otherwise be lost to darkness. Some are priests of the Dusk Mother. Others are haunted warriors, revenants, or ordinary people who have witnessed something beyond mortal understanding. They do not believe that death is evil, nor that life must be preserved at any cost. They believe that every soul deserves the chance to reach its rightful end, and that no one should be abandoned while making that journey. For a paladin, this oath is not a declaration that he has earned his resurrection. It is a promise to make something meaningful of the time he has been given.

9th Level - Revivify, Speak with Dead

Channel Divinity: The Dusk Mother's Grace
3rd-level Oath of the Last Light feature
Last Light. An ember of silver light burns in the darkness, illuminating the path between the living and the dead. As an Action, the Paladin presents his holy symbol or weapon and invokes the Dusk Mother's protection. Each creature of his choice within 30 feet of him, up to a number equal to his Charisma modifier (minimum of one creature), gains temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + his Paladin level. Until the start of the Paladin’s next turn, affected creatures also have Advantage on saving throws against being frightened
Spectral Judgement. The Paladin steps forward, its weapon shining with the cold light of a forgotten moon. As a Bonus Action, the Paladin invokes the Dusk Mother's judgment and marks one creature he can see within 30 feet of him for 1 minute. The mark ends early if the Paladin is incapacitated or dies, or if he marks another creature. Once on each of his turns when he hits the marked creature with a weapon attack, he can deal additional radiant or necrotic damage (his choice) equal to his proficiency bonus. The first time the marked creature damages a creature other than the Paladin while the mark lasts, the Paladin can use his reaction to move up to half his speed toward it without provoking opportunity attacks from that creature.
Aura of the Unforgotten
7th-level Oath of the Last Light feature
The Paladin’s existence has become a bridge between the living and the dead. As his devotion deepens, that aura extends to those who fight beside him.
While the Paladin isn't incapacitated, he and friendly creatures within 10 feet of him have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Additionally, when a creature within the aura takes damage, the Paladin can use his reaction to reduce that damage by an amount equal to his Charisma modifier + his proficiency bonus (minimum reduction of 1). The damage reduction is applied after resistance and vulnerability.
The Paladin can use this reaction a number of times equal to his proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when he finishes a long rest.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Between Two Worlds
15th-level Oath of the Last Light feature
The Dusk Mother's blessing binds the Paladin more firmly to the boundary between life and death. Neither realm fully claims him, and he has learned to draw strength from the space between them.
Unfinished Business. When the Paladin is reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, he can drop to 1 hit point instead. Once he uses this feature, he cannot use it again until he finishes a long rest.
Strength Beyond the Veil. When the Paladin is reduced to half his hit point maximum or fewer, he can call upon the Dusk Mother's power. For 1 minute, he gains the following benefits:
-
Twilight Resilience. He has resistance to necrotic damage.
-
Death's Rebuke. Once on each of his turns when he hits a creature with a weapon attack, he deals an additional 1d8 radiant or necrotic damage (his choice).
-
Unyielding Spirit. He has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Once the Paladin activates Strength Beyond the Veil, he cannot do so again until he finishes a long rest.
Avatar of the Last Light
20th-level Oath of the Last Light feature
At 20th level, the Paladin can become a vessel for the Dusk Mother's power, embodying the final glow between sunset and nightfall. For a brief time, life and death bend around him, and the battlefield becomes a place where his allies can endure the darkness and his enemies must face the weight of their deeds.
As a bonus action, the Paladin undergoes this transformation for 1 minute. He gains the following benefits:
Twilight Mantle. Pale silver light surrounds the Paladin in a 30-foot radius, shedding dim light. The area moves with him. The Paladin has resistance to necrotic damage and advantage on death saving throws for the duration.
Shelter at Dusk. The Paladin and friendly creatures of his choice within 30 feet of him have advantage on saving throws against being frightened. In addition, when a friendly creature within this aura makes a death saving throw, it can add the Paladin's Charisma modifier to the roll (minimum +1).
Judgment at Dusk. Once on each of the Paladin's turns when he hits a creature with a weapon attack, he can deal an extra 1d8 radiant or necrotic damage to that creature (his choice). The damage manifests as a flash of pale light or a wave of cold twilight.
Not Yet. Once during this transformation, when the Paladin or a friendly creature he can see within 30 feet would be reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, the Paladin can use his reaction to cause that creature to drop to 1 hit point instead. The creature is briefly surrounded by the Dusk Mother's silver light.
