Duty

As a member of the Order of Mage Eye you are to uphold the ideals and values of the order. In your quest to become the best Mage Eye you will undergo trials and tribulations. When the powerless need defending you will stand between them and the evils that tempt and corrupt. When the helpless need defending you will stand between them and the evils that would take advantage or hurt them. You are a stanched defender enduring the pains and struggles in a world of the powerful. Do not give into temptation as the lure of the Darkside is always looming.

Level 3: 3: Light Blade Training

You are proficient in the use of a Light Emitting Sword. Defined as any blade emitting from a hilt (such as lightsaber, sun blade, spell sword). Use this definition when referring to any ability in this subclass calling for light sword.

You can use a light sword as a Spellcasting Focus for your spells.

At higher levels you are more effective when using such a weapon. At 6th level you deal additional 1d8 damage. At 10th level this damage increases to additional 2d8 damage. At 14th level this damage increases to additional 3d8 damage.

Level 3: 3: Battle Eye

You are better alert and defensive during combat. Whole wearing no armor and not carrying a shield or item like a shield (or gives similar bonus) you gain a bonus to initiative and armor class equal to your intelligence.

When initiative is rolled you may activate your light sword (normally requires a bonus action) at the start of combat.

Level 6: 6: Initiate Training

You can attack twice with a light sword, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your Wizard cantrips that has a casting time of an action in place of one of those attacks.

Level 10: 10: Learner Training

While welding a light sword you take the attack action you can cast a cantrip with a casting time of one action as a bonus action.

When you cast a spell using an action you may make one attack with a light sword as a bonus action.

Level 14: 14: Knight Training

When a creature make an attack while within the reach of your light sword, you can take a Reaction to cast a spell at the creature. The spell must have a casting time of one action and must target only that creature.

While wielding a light sword when you cast the shield spell it does not require a reaction (it still consumes the resources required to cast it)
