Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Through some misfortune, you have found yourself tethered to a powerful being with the capability to manipulate the threads of your life. No longer do you have reign over your body or fate, as the tether is far too binding to offer freedom. Now, you act as a mere puppet for a grand purpose...or just someone's fun little plaything.

Level 3: Sturdy Strings

When you drop to 0 hit points, your unconscious body can still move up to half your movement speed, dragged across the floor by the neck. Due to your condition, you cannot make actions, bonus actions, or reactions.

While in this state you are considered incapacitated and stay as such until you regain consciousness, you must still make death saves as normal, however, you do not take opportunity attacks.

Level 3: Tethered Spells

The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Tethered Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Tethered Spells
Warlock Level Spells
3 Catapult, Entangle, Vortex Warp, Web
5 Antagonize, Bestow Curse
7 Compulsion, Grasping Vine
9 Dominate Person, Telekinesis

Level 6: Threads of Motion

You manipulate the threads attached on your target. When you successfully cast a spell against a creature, you may also choose to pull one creature's threads and move them up to 10 feet towards a direction you choose. On your subsequent turns, if you maintained concentration on the spell, you can repeat the pull on one creature that was targeted by the spell.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), but you can use it no more than once per casting. You regain all expended uses when you finish a Short Rest.

Level 10: Master Puppeteer

Only one being can inhabit and manipulate your mind. You gain resistance against Psychic damage and immunity to the Charmed and Frightened conditions. Any attempt at reading your mind or communicating telepathically returns nothing but a sinister laughter.

Additionally, the strings that move you have become even sturdier. You gain a flying speed equal to half of your walking speed when you move using Sturdy Strings, allowing you to ominously hover above those who've wronged you. The creature responsible for putting you in the Incapacitated condition must succeed on a Wisdom Saving throw against your Spell Save DC whenever you move within 10 feet of them or be frightened of you until the start of your next turn.

When you make a successful Death saving throw while still unconscious, you can choose to regain the ability to use an action, bonus action, or a reaction on that turn alone; you only choose one of three and your turn immediately ends when you use the action or bonus action. You can only trigger this effect once per long rest and regain the ability to do so after finishing a Long Rest.

Level 14: Bound by Strings

Your mastery with manipulating threads have significantly improved. When you use Threads of Motion, you are no longer limited to one use per casting, which allows you to pull multiple creatures affected by your spell at once, or pull the same creature further. You can also extend your strings to another creature within 10 feet of a creature you've pulled regardless of being targeted by your spell or not, still using the resource necessary to do so.

You've also prepared countermeasures against disobedient puppets. If a creature is pulled by your Threads of Motion, you may also choose to restrain them until the start of your next turn. They may use their action to try and break free by succeeding on a Strength (Athletics) check against your Spell Save DC. When a restrained creature that is Bound by Strings attempts to make an attack or cast a spell, you can use your reaction to tug on their strings and cause them to waste the attempt. They must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a fail, the attack or spell is wasted and so is the action, bonus action, or reaction used to attempt it. If this prevents a spell cast with a spell slot, the slot isn't expended.
