Base Class: Rogue
You've spent your life hunting vermin, whether that's for profit, for extermination, or for food.
Play With Your Food
You gain the ability to toy with creatures smaller than yourself.
When you hit a creature with Sneak Attack, you can forgo a portion of your Sneak Attack damage to inflict one of the following effects:
-
Bat Around: Push the target up to 10 feet.
-
Pin Down: Reduce the target's Speed to 0 until the start of your next turn.
-
Terrify: The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become Frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
The creature must be Small or smaller.
Predator's Instinct
You gain proficiency in Perception and Survival. If you already have either proficiency, you gain Expertise instead.
You also have Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Cornered Prey
You know exactly how to exploit a creature's attempts to escape.
When a creature within 30 feet of you moves away from you, you can use your Reaction to move up to half your Speed toward it without provoking Opportunity Attacks.
If you end this movement within 5 feet of the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack against it before the end of your next turn
Cat and Mouse
You excel at making a game out of combat.
When you hit a creature with an attack, you can mark it as your Prey (no action required). Until the start of your next turn:
-
You always know its location while it's within 60 feet of you.
-
It cannot benefit from being Hidden from you.
-
Your Opportunity Attacks against it have Advantage.
You can have only one creature marked this way at a time.
The Final Pounce
You become the ultimate predator.
Once per turn, when you hit your marked Prey with an attack, you can force it to make a Dexterity saving throw, with the DC being 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency modifier.
On a failure, the creature is knocked Prone and its Speed becomes 0 until the end of its next turn.
If the creature is already Prone, you can instead deal 2d6 additional Sneak Attack damage.
