Base Class: Sorcerer
Spell Blades are a combination of sorcerers and warriors, using magic to enchant weapons used in combat. All spell blades can easily enchant a blade at will and take control of the battlefield. Though a spell blade will not be as skilled with a blade as a warrior nor as skilled with magic as a wizard, the combination of the two skills makes a spell blade a formidable opponent. The most skilled and knowledgeable of spell blades can seamlessly blend spell and steel to devastating effect, seeming almost like artists or acrobats with their uncanny quickness and ingenious use of accompanying elements.
The art of a spell blade is as old as the that of its parented arts, but has been kept as a secret through time. No one is truly sure where or how the first spell blades first came about as a serious profession of combat, but the mix of magic in your blood and steel have clear origins in the Elven race. Steel your self, and wade into the battle with a spell in one hand, and a blade in another.
Bonding
Starting at 1st level, spend 15 minutes to bond with your weapon. After bound you can send your weapon into a pocket dimension. You always know where your weapon is at all times, and if within 1 mile of you,and on the same plane, spend an action to teleport to it.
During your long rest, you can choose to spend 10 minutes to imbue your blade with the arcane arts. Choose one of the following: Lightning, Fire, Acid, or Cold. When you hit a creature with your imbued weapon, add 1D4 extra damage. (2d4 at lvl 5, 2d4 at lvl 10, 3d4 at lvl 15, and 4d4 at lvl 20)
Fighting styles
You can choose an option from the Fighting Style class feature.
Defense
While you are wearing armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
Dueling
When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon.
Great Weapon Fighting
When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.
Protection
When a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be wielding a shield.
Arcane Wrath
At 6th level, you can temporarily infuse your blade with the seed of a powerful spell. As an action, you can spend a sorcery point and cast a spell into your weapon with one sorcerer spell you can cast or is already active, then make a single attack with that weapon. The spell must be using a sorcerer spell slot. If that attack hits, all spell attack rolls for the imbued spell hit the target automatically and are considered part of the single weapon attack. The target takes weapon damage, and is subject to the effects of the spell, expending a spell slot accordingly. If the attack has advantage, the target’s initial saving throw against the spell has disadvantage. If the attack misses, the spell has no effect. Area spells originate from the target’s space.
The spell must be of 1st level or higher, have a casting time of 1 action, or require an action to activate an already active concentration spell.
Expose Weakness
At 14th level, you learn how to make your weapon strikes undercut a creature’s resistance to your spells. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, that creature has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes against a spell targeting it before the end of your next turn.

The target takes weapon damage, and is subject to the effects of the spell, expending a spell slot accordingly. If the attack has advantage, the target’s initial saving throw against the spell has disadvantage. If the attack misses, the spell has no effect. Area spells originate from the target’s space. Posted May 2, 2020If you have a hero or master tier subscription, you should have a blue "add to collection" button just above the comments section. Click on that.
Then, make sure homebrew is turned on in the character builder's Home page. Choose sorcerer in the class tab of the builder. Under Sorcererous Origin, choose spell blade
