Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The soul of flame, is a barbarian path that embodies the full intensity of the natural world. The death and rebirth of the natural world through wildfires.  In some ways they also embody the fierce and independent spirits of fire elementals, and the mighty phoenix.

Choose this path if you want to be a badass paragon of flame, and use your flaming aura to damage your enemies, shelter allies, and heal yourself.

Heart of Flame

Starting at third level you gain resistance to fire damage, and you do not suffer the effects of extreme heat, as described in the Dungeon Master's Guide. Moreover, as an action, you can touch a flammable object that isn't being worn or carried by anyone else and set it on fire.

Aura of Flame

Also at 3rd level, you radiate an aura of magical flame when you enter a rage. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.

When this effect is activated the following effects happen.

  • You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
  •  All other creatures within 10 feet of you take 1d6 fire damage each. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 2d6 at 5th level, 3d6 at 10th level, 4d6 at 15th level, and 5d6 at 20th level.
  • Whenever you roll fire damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Constitution modifier.

Shield of Flame

Beginning at 6th level, creatures of your choice within your aura become resistant to fire damage.

Phoenix Spark

Starting at 10th level, the fiery energy that burns within you grows restless and vengeful. In the face of defeat, it surges outward to preserve you in a fiery roar.

If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to draw on the spark of the phoenix. You are instead reduced to 1 hit point, and each creature within 10 feet of you must succeed on dexterity saving throw or take fire damage equal to your barbarian level.

The DC for this save is 8 + constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Nourishing Flame

At 14th level, wherever creatures within your flame aura take damage, you can gain a number of hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
