Druid
Base Class: Druid

Shamans are avid practitioners of curses. They are often the cause of rumors of witches or hags, when real Hags aren't the culprit.

Mystical Misfortune

At 2nd level when you join this Circle you place a curse on a creature that has incurred your wrath. As a Bonus Action, you choose a creature within 60 feet of you and curse them to receive your choice of 1d6 extra necrotic or psychic damage whenever you hit it with a spell attack roll. Additionally, the cursed creature subtracts 1d4 from their saving throws versus spells you cast.

This benefit lasts until you finish a short or long rest. It ends early if you designate a different creature.

Witch's Servant

At 2nd level when you join this Circle as an Action, by expending a use of your Wild Shape, rather than you assuming the beasts form you conjure the creature from your shadow. The creature appears in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you and lasts as long as your Wild Shape would. You can only have one Witch's Servant present at a time however you may still Wild Shape yourself. The creature has hit points equal to the creature’s Constitution modifier + your Wisdom modifier + five times your level in this class but otherwise all its stats are the same. The creature disappears when reduced to 0hp, if the Wild Shape time limit is up or if you dismiss the creature as a Bonus Action; dismissing the creature returns the expended Wild Shape use.

The creature options for your Witch's Servant are limited to the options listed below; but as you gain Wild Shape Improvements at 4th and 8th level the options widen. As a note, though you can summon these creatures if they do not abide by the parameters of your Wild Shape capabilities you yourself cannot become them; for example you can summon a Flying Snake but you could not become one until 8th level because it has a flying speed.

2nd level Servant options: Bat, Blood Hawk, Cat, Constrictor Snake, Flying Monkey, Flying Snake, Frog, Giant Bat, Giant Centipede, Giant Frog, Giant Lizard, Giant Poisonous Snake, Giant Rat, Giant Weasel, Giant Wolf Spider, Lizard, Owl, Poisonous Snake, Rat, Raven, Scorpion, Spider, Stirge, Vulture, Weasel and Wolf

4th level Servant options: Crocodile, Giant Eel and Swarm of Insects.

8th level Servant options: Dire Wolf, Giant Spider, Giant Toad, Giant Vulture

Circle Spells

Your shamanistic teachings have granted you a unique brand of druidic magics. At 2nd level, you learn the vicious mockery cantrip.

When you reach certain levels in this class, you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of the Shaman Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Baleful Servant

Starting at 6th level your Witch's Servant's attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Additionally your Witch's Servant also gains the damage benefit when attacking the subject of your Mystical Misfortune and any saving throws the Servant incurs on the cursed target also subtract 1d4.

Malefic Icon

At 10th level during a short or long rest you can construct a figurine in the likeness of someone you know or have been given a description of. When you create the Icon you imbue it with a single spell effect. The Icon can be made of fabric and stuffing or from woven straw; when making the Icon you can add things like pieces of the person's clothes, hair or other such belongings and if you do the person will receive a -1 penalty against the imbued effect for every item stitched into the Icon to a maximum equal to your Wisdom modifier. Once you invoke the spell imbued within the Icon, it and any items stitched into it are reduced to ash. You may have up to Wisdom modifier Icons constructed at once and if you attempt to make more Icons than your Wisdom modifier, the earliest Icon you created falls to ash along with its contents. You may not have multiple Malefic Icons made for a single person.

The some of the spells you can choose from are Scrying, Dominate Person, Negative Energy Flood and Dream; if you think of another applicable spell you may discuss with your DM if they will allow it, however the spell must be of 5th level or lower. You can activate the spell at anytime as an Action so long as you hold the Malefic Icon.

Foretell Doom

At 14th level, in response to taking damage you can use your reaction to you attempt to instill a looming sense of dread in the creature that harmed you. The creature must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or become cursed for 1 minute. If the creature fails a saving throw while cursed in this way, it takes psychic damage equal to your Druid level.

As an Action on your turn you can attempt to amplify the curse, forcing the creature to make another Wisdom saving throw. On a fail it takes 6d8 psychic damage and becomes frightened of you or a creature of your choice that is within 30 of the creature for the remaining time of this curse. If the creature is immune to the Frightened condition, it makes the save with advantage but is not immune in this instance. While frightened in this way, whenever the creature receives damage from the source of its fear it takes an additional 2d6 psychic damage. On a success it takes half damage, is not frightened, the curse ends early and the creature is immune to this feature for 24 hours.
