Base Class: Sorcerer
Sometimes a child is born as a woman is cursed with vampirism, or a child's blood was mixed with a vampire or even a person was the ancestor of a great vampire like Strad, the Vampiric bloodline gives the Sorcerer power over death itself.
Raise vampire spawn, bring forward an army of the dead and drink the blood of mortals while you're at it! Each of these abilities have been flavored for a vampire, however many of the features can be applied to a litch or wight or the like, as long as the mechanics are the same, the flavor is up to you.
Extended spell options
Starting at 1st level, you have access to an extended spell list. Every odd level from 1st to 9th level in this class, you may choose one spell on the extended spell list to add to your spells known. This addition doesn't count against your number of known spells and you cannot replace one of these spell for anything but another spell of the same level off of the list.
Also each of these spells are added to your list of sorcerer spells, allowing you to take a spell of this list with your known spells. For spells like Find familiar, we suggest a bat.
- 1st: Cause Fear or Find Familiar
- 3rd: Levitate or Suggestion
- 5th: Animate Dead or Vampiric Touch
- 7th: Polymorph or Shadow of Moil
- 9th: Antilife Shell or Danse Macabre
Never Ending Thirst
- You gain a Bite attack that is 1d6 + Cha and uses your Cha to hit with instead of Strength.
- In addition, while in battle, you can throw yourself into a vicious feeding frenzy. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your bite. If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage, and you gain temporary hit points (minimum of 1) equal to the damage you dealt, and you can’t use this trait again until you lose these temporary hit points.
- At 6th level, If you used the bite attack as your attack action, you can preform a second bite in the same action. This ability does not stack with the extra attack feature.
Gaseous Form escape
At 6th level, you learn the Gaseous Form spell if you didn't already know it and any other sorcerer spell if you did. This spell doesn't not count towards your spells known and you cannot unlearn it.
Whenever you fall to 0 hit points, instead of falling unconscious you revert to a Gaseous Form and are instead at 1 hit point with 20 temporary hit points. You can than move up to your movement speed without an attack of opportunity. You can only do this once per day and you do not regain this feature until you finish a long rest.
Vampire Spawn
At 14th level, you gain the ability to Raise those killed by you as Vampire spawn. These agents are under your control for 24 hours after which you must take an minute to bite them again to maintain control. You can only have 1 spawn under your control at any time using this feature and if they are slain, you cannot bring them back from the dead short of a wish spell. Anything the vampire spawn wished to remain secret before it died may have been lost during the turning process.
To create a vampire spawn, you must have bit a target and have the body die within a minute of the bite. after an hour has passed, if it was a humanoid you may bring it back to life as a Vampire spawn. The stats of this creature replace any it had while it was alive, such as class levels, racial features and any other features like that from feats, the only thing that remains is a limited version of it's personality.
Death's Desire
Starting at 18th level, you can spend 9 sorcery points to cast the Dominate Monster spell as a 9th level spell. casting the spell in this way can only be done outside of combat but does not require the verbal or semantic components to cast. This spell is also added to your spells known without counting against your number of spells known. finally, when cast in this way, the target does not repeat the saving throw to this ability unless they take damage from you or one of your allies.
