Base Class: Cleric
You have chosen to show your faithfulness to your deity by completing a daily ritual. Not every deity requires a ritual, though some followers will choose to practice one anyway as a sign of faith and submission. You, however, do not take this ritual lightly and value it to such a degree that your deity has chosen to honor your extraordinary faithfulness with powerful boons.
Bonus Proficiency
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with Heavy Armor.
Domain Spells
You gain domain spells at the cleric levels listed in the Time Domain Spells table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work.

Daily Ritual
Choose one of the following rituals to complete daily. This will determine what benefits are granted to you by your deity.
- Wine Ritual: Every day you take a special cup that has been blessed by your deity and fill it with wine. After a brief moment of prayer and thanks, you partake of the wine. This leads into more prayer and praise.
- Meditation Ritual: You light incense and Sit in a meditative position. You clear your mind of everything and focus solely on the greatness and awe of your deity. Bouts of prayer are interlaced within the meditation.
- Study Ritual: You pour into the depths of the holy book linked to your deity. Reading and taking notes as you seek to deepen your knowledge of your faith. (If your religion does not have a related holy book or piece of literature, your DM may allow you to substitute studying history and lore of your deity instead)
- Music Ritual: You use the power of song, either sung or played, to blast your praises up to your deity. (This ritual does not require proficiency in an instrument or otherwise)
- Dance Ritual: You prefer the expressive nature of dance and will dance about in whatever space you have to show your gratitude to your deity. Often times you have a praising song in your head that you release through your faith-fueled movements.
- Sacrifice Ritual: Your ritual is comprised of the sacrifice of a small beast in offering to your deity along with some prayer and praise.
Completing the ritual: You should complete the ritual once per day within 24 hours of the last time you performed it. The ritual should take at least 5-10 minutes. The Wine and Meditation rituals both require material components to complete. These components are consumed during the completion of those rituals. Only by completing the rituals daily do you gain the benefits granted by it. Failure to complete the ritual can result in negative consequences (see "Failure to complete the ritual"). Also, if your DM believes that the atmosphere you are trying to complete the ritual in is too distracting, they may ask you to make a Wisdom Check to maintain concentration. The DC may vary depending on the circumstances. If you fail the check, you must start the ritual over. For the Wine and Meditation rituals, the components would be wasted on a failure; for the Sacrifice ritual, a new beast must be sacrificed if you do not begin a new ritual within 10 minutes of the previous.
Failure to complete the ritual: If you fail to complete the ritual within the given time constraint all of the benefits you are receiving from the ritual end. If you fail to do so two days in a row you must roll on the Failed Ritual Chart below. For each additional consecutive day that the ritual is not performed (after two) roll on the chart with disadvantage.
| VALUE (d100) | EFFECT |
|---|---|
| 1-10 | Roll on the Short-term Madness chart (DMG 259) |
| 11-25 | You suffer a point of exhaustion that can't be removed until you complete the ritual |
| 26-50 | You feel compelled to immediately stop what you are doing to complete the ritual |
| 51-75 | You fall into a deep depression for 1d6 days |
| 76-98 | You feel compelled to spend the next short rest in prayer |
| 99-100 | Nothing Additional Happens, your deity is merciful |

You remain in this plane until you complete your ritual. If at any point you stop in the process of completing the ritual, you are immediately transported back to the material plane where you must start the ritual over. When you are transported back you go to the same location where you left. If that space is occupied, you are transported to the nearest unoccupied space. When you travel to this plane, your body and everything you are carrying gets transported with you. The plane is a small 10 ft x 10 ft square room with plain white walls. The only thing in the room is a small alter to your deity, a wooden desk, and a wooden chair.
Enhanced Ritual Casting
Starting at 6th level, Choose one 1st level cleric spell and one 2nd level cleric spell. You always have those spells prepared and can cast them as ritual spells. Also, you can cast any ritual spell as part of your daily ritual and ignore all components required unless they would be consumed or have monetary value.
Stored Ritual
Starting at 8th level, when you ritual cast a spell, you can choose to hold the energy before releasing it. You can only hold on to this energy for a number of minutes equal to 10 x your the modifier affected by your Daily Ritual (minimum of 10 minutes). If you do not release the energy before the time runs out, it fades with no effect; otherwise, you can use an action to release the energy. In essence, you can cast the spell without expending a spell slot. Once you have cast a spell in this way, you may not do so again until you finish a short or long rest regardless of if the energy was released or not. You can only hold the energy of one spell at a time.
Improved Ritual Boon
Starting at 17th level, you can add your Ritual Boon Die to attack rolls. Also, while you are gaining the benefits of your Daily Ritual, your AC increases an amount equal to the modifier affected by your ritual (minimum of +1), you have advantage on the rolls for your Divine Intervention feature and your monetary cost for using the Planar Ally spell is halved.
