Base Class: Monk
You follow a monastic tradition that teaches you to harness the elements into maneuvers and stances to deal devastating attacks with your sword. When you focus your ki, you can align yourself with the forces of creation and bend the four elements to your will, using them as an extension of your body and sword. Many monks of this tradition tattoo their bodies with representations of their ki powers., commonly imagined as coiling dragons, but also as phoenixes, fish. plants, mountains. and cresting waves.
Sword Sage Training
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with light and medium armor that doesn't impose disadvantage on stealth checks. You can add your unarmored defense modifier to you armor bonus. If the armor has a max dex bonus, it applies to your unarmored defense. For example, helishia the sword sage has an unarmored defense bonus of +5 and wears a breastplate. Because the max dex bonus is +2, she can only add +2 to her armor class using her unarmored defense. You also gain proficiency with the Longsword and Scimitar. When you wield a Longsword, it is considered finesse.
Maneuvers and Stances
You gain maneuvers and stances. When you start at 3rd level, you know 2 stances. Basically just choose 2 druid cantrips of your choice. You can use stances at will. At 10th level, you get an additional stance. You also gain the ability to use maneuvers. At 3rd level, choose six 1st level druid spells. These are your maneuvers. You can prepare maneuvers equal to half your monk level + you wisdom modifier. The chart below determines your maneuvers known, maneuvers per day, and at what level you can cast them. Maneuvers are basically like druid spells of first level and higher, treat them as such.

Sense Magic
Beginning at 7th level, you can spend 10 minutes focusing upon a weapon or suit of armor. If you succeed on a wisdom check (DC 20), you can identify the properties of that item, including special abilities. This ability does not reveal the properties of artifacts, though it does indicate that such items are significantly powerful.
Insightful Strikes
At 11th level, you can add your wisdom modifier to either your attack roll or damage roll. You must choose before making either roll.
Battle Ki
Beginning at 17th level, your Ki guides you that attackers rarely gain the upper hand against you. No attack roll has advantage against you while you aren't incapacitated. In addition, your Ki helps you succeed when you need to. If your attack misses a target within range, you can turn the miss into a hit. Alternatively, if you fail a saving throw, you can treat the d20 roll as a 20. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
