Monks of the Way of the Alien Warrior have a balanced aspect between their ki and their physical body. They see that strength is found through battle and experience. These monks struggle constantly to better themselves and seek out strong opponents to fight. They learn techniques to form their ki into attacks.

Ki Materilization

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your own ki to materialize it in form. You are now able to spend a ki point to perform the basic essential first step - Energy Blast. You determine the appearance of your materialized ki based on the qualities of your character.

 

Energy Manipulation

Starting at 6th level, you can start manipulating the ki that you materialize outside your body. On your turn, you can spend 1 ki point as an action to perform the following.

Energy Disk. A swarm of ki rushes out of your hand in a thin disk. 

Blinding Light. A bright flash of light emanating from you.

Energy Shield. An invisible barrier of ki envelops and protects you.

Skip Step. Travel 60 ft in an instant.

Ki Expertise

Starting at 11th level, you tap into the greater level of power hidden in your ki. You now gain the following benefits.

Energy Fist. When you perform an unarmed attack you can spend a ki point to deal an additional 1d8 force damage.

Energy Wave. An energy attack that hits everything in a 100 foot line.

Flight. You can spend a ki point to perform the Fly spell on only yourself without the need of spell components.

Reaction Energy Blast. As a reaction you can spend a ki point to perform Ki Blast.

Ascension

Starting at 17th level, you are at the peak of ki manipulation and strength, allowing you to bring forth extra strength beyond your limits. On your turn, you can spend 10 ki points as a bonus action to ascend to a level beyond normal for 10 minutes. This causes your ki to take physical form around you, torrential winds shuffle loose dirt, gravel, clothing, and hair around you. While ascended you gain the following benefits.

Unarmed Attacks. Whenever you make an unarmed attack you add an additional 3d12 force damage.

Energy Attacks. Whenever you use an attack with your manipulated ki you add an additional 5d10 force damage.

Armor of the Spirit. You gain a +2 bonus to AC while you aren’t incapacitated.
