Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Fate Weaver learn to manipulate the Weave to change fate, steering it onto a path more favourable to themselves. At the height of their abilities, a fate weaver is able to confidently stride across a battlefield, all attacks against them going wide, whilst the fate weaver's own attacks are unexpectedly devastating. Fate weavers are easily underestimated, since their strongest talents involve triggering a series of seemingly innocuous events which converge to manifest a desired effect. It is as if their actions set a single domino in motion, which changes fate like a Rube Goldberg machine into enacting their goals.

Many students of this discipline are born lucky, and are able to hone their natural talents into a refined art through study. Fate weavers often amuse themselves by testing their luck with games of chance, such as dice, dominoes, or cards.

Instrument of Fate

17th-level Way of the Fate Weaver feature

Starting at 17th level, you can further empower your luckiest strikes, which hit their target where it is most vulnerable. When you roll a critical hit, you can expend 1 to 10 ki points to inflict an additional 2d10 damage per ki point spent upon the target. The additional damage has the same damage type as that dealt by the attack.

Serendipitous Rebound

17th-level Way of the Fate Weaver feature

Starting at 17th level, when you attack a creature with a monk weapon and miss, you can spend 1 ki point to make an additional attack roll against a creature within 5 feet of your original target. You can use this feature only once for each of your attacks.
