Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Born of fire, iron coursing through your veins, working with or near a forge as imbued you with the powers of creation. Your spirit burns hot and you feel a natural pull to make, mold, shift and tinker with the elements to form useful battlements for yourself to achieve your goals.

Your blood burns hot enough to heat the vast amounts of iron in your veins to pull weapons from your very flesh and empower your spells. This is a legendary practice passed down from blacksmith to blacksmith, most with this power are regarded as legends among the smithing community and even earn their place among the legends, tales tell of men pull javelins out of their stomachs or creating daggers from their forearms.

Internal Combustion

As forge magic flows through your body, it reinforces your skin and causes it to harden like iron. At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.

Additionally, your knowledge of the forge grows with your power. You gain proficiency with Smithing Tools, Simple and Martial Weapons as well as Light and Medium Armour and Shields.

Pride and Joy

At 6th level, you have finally dedicated yourself enough to be rewarded with a weapon worth wielding. You gain a magical melee weapon (known as your 'Pride and Joy' ) of your choice forged from the magic within you with the following benefits:

  • While you wield this weapon you are considered proficient with it, the damage it deals is magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances.
  • You can summon this weapon to your person as an action, Your 'Pride and Joy'  disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for 1 minute or more. It also disappears if you use this feature again, if you dismiss the weapon (no action required), or if you die.
  • This weapon has a bonus +1 modifier to attack and damage rolls.
  • You may use your Constitution modifier in place of Strength or Dexterity for Attack and Damage rolls with this weapon.
  • As a bonus action you can engulf the weapon in flames, allowing it to deal an additional 1d6 fire damage when it hits a creature for the next minute.

Additionally, your Forge Sorcery allows you to make improvements faster than any mortal man or woman. During a short rest you can spend 3 sorcery points to change the weapon into another form. If your weapon is lost or destroyed, during a long rest, you can perform a ritual using 100gp of metals to form another one. Upon the completion of this ritual the previous weapon crumbles to dust.

At 12th level the bonus modifier is increased to +2 and at 18th to +3.

This bonus lasts until the beginning of your next turn.

Additionally, while empowered by Fury of the Forge, the additional fire damage from 'Pride and Joy' is increased to 2d6.
