Chronomancy. An immensely powerful, very obscure, and profoundly secretive are of magical study. Chronomancy is the specialised study of how magic can manipulate time. Known for being incredibly volatile and dangerous magic, its practitioners are known to be enigmatic and strange, often with wisdom and knowledge that most simply are unable to comprehend. Although notoriously secretive, there is one known book addressing this subject known as "Lutece's guide to Chronomancy." It contains a mere 10 spells, although it is said that those who master the ten spells rarely need anything beyond them to expand their knowledge vastly. Many famous wizards and spellcasters have coveted and studied the book although often to no avail, leading many to believe that the study is merely a hoax, but throughout history, some would pose there is evidence to suggest it is very much real.
Perhaps if you dive in, you'll discover for yourself exactly what is and isn't real, and maybe even have a role in deciding it.

A Quick Rest

Time is a strange and wild beast that effects those gifted enough to harness it every second of every day. Even when we sleep, the temporal energy that flows through us can bless us with random kindnesses, allowing us to dedicate more time to its volatile needs. - Lutece

If you would have a long rest, instead of taking 8 hours, it takes 1d8 hours instead.
If you are a race that only requires 4 hours of trance for a long rest, roll 1d4 instead.

Overclock

Many magical disciplines, Conjuration for example, have a learning curve marked by sheer force. The greater the mage, the more harmful their spells or the wider the range. Chronomancy however is a study of precision, nuance and adaptive understanding. It is only when you master this that you can exude more power than even the most powerful of conjurers. Take for instance, the ability to reverse only certain elements of events, like the act of drawing on the weave to cast a spell. By reversing these components it is possible to fool even the great goddess Mystra herself. - Lutece.

Once a day, you may spend a full round action to recover all your expended spell slots.

The Flow

After a reasonable time of learning to channel temporal energies through magics, the body seems to adapt to its conveniences, drawing on its power subconsciously. I have found this makes me much more keenly aware of adversity and makes mundane tasks trivial. A pleasant side effect to be sure. - Lutece

When you enter combat, unless you are surprised, you are always first in initiative.
Whilst in combat, you act as if effected by a haste spell.

Time is of the Essence

I find when time is of the essence, having the ability to channel the essence of time can be rather useful. - Lutece.

Ritual spells of casting time 1 hour or less become instantaneous.
Ritual spells of casting time greater than an hour have an hour subtracted from their casting time, and are then their casting time is halved.
