Bard
Base Class: Bard

Most in the rugged world of the Forgotten Realms pay no heed to the quality of one's food, but not the bards who find home at the College of Cooking. Taking dishes to the next level and providing inspiring meals that delight and empower; those who learn the skills of cooking are constantly improving their craft to become the most renowned chef's in the world.

The College of Cooking is often host to the powers of the world, often catering dinners for Kings and Warlords alike. These bards are known for their dishes which charm and bewitch those who indulge in their works of art. In fact, legend tells tales of these bards who have supported entire armies' conquests through their cooking as well as quelling the might of Dragons with the keen use of spices. It is undeniable that the food prepared by these maestros of cooking can often be the difference between victory and defeat. Whether by restoring the health of a comrade or by persuading a would-be enemy, the value of a bard from the College of Cooking is without dispute.

Inspiring Meal

When you join the College of Cooking at 3rd level, you gain the ability to imbue the food you cook with with inspiring combinations of ingredients and spices.

Once per short rest, when you take at least 10 minutes to prepare a meal, you may imbue that meal with 1 use of your Bardic Inspiration. Any creature (max of 6) who partakes in the meal you prepared, gains a Bardic Inspiration die which lasts for up to 1 hour. In addition to the normal uses of the Bardic Inspiration die, a creature who has a Bardic Inspiration die from this feature may also, as a bonus action, roll that die and heal that amount of damage.

Enchanting Meal

Starting at 3rd level, you can cook your food with the most enchanting of flavors, bewitching all who imbibe.

As an action, you may enchant a single item of food which you have prepared. This enchantment lasts for up to 1 day. Any creature who consumes or tastes this item of food must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be charmed by you. While charmed in this way, the target is enamored with your cooking prowess and will hear out any requests you make, giving you advantage on all Charisma (Persuasion) and Charisma (Deception) checks made against the target. This effect ends on a target after 1 hour of consuming or tasting the food, if you attack the target, or the target witnesses you attacking any of its allies.

If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to charm it.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Illusory Banquet

At 6th level, you gain the ability to create an illusion of a magnificent feast. As an action, you can create an illusion of a banquet 5ft wide by 10ft. long at a location you can see within 60ft. Any creature within 60ft. of the illusion that you choose must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or become charmed as it is enthralled by the exquisite food. A creature that is charmed by this feature must use all of its movement to approach the banquet. If a creature is at the banquet, they must use their action to attempt to consume the illusory food. A creature realizes the banquet is fake and is no longer charmed upon attempting to consume the illusory food. At the end of each of its turns, an effected creature can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the creature is no longer charmed.

If a target succeeds on its saving throw, it realizes that the banquet is an illusion and will no longer be distracted by the alluring food.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Legendary Feast

At 14th level, your ability to cook empowering meals reaches new heights. You can now cast the heroes feast without expending a spell slot and requiring no spell components.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
