Base Class: Barbarian
All barbarians draw their power from rage, but some become so angry that they may draw power directly from their blood. Blood ragers can harm themselves to gain more power, and draw blood from themselves and others in their rage. Their rage is immensely powerful, but it can come at a high cost, and blood ragers must be careful not to take too much, lest they perish where they stand. All have different manners of gaining this power. Some make pacts with gods, some draw on ancestral powers of ancient clans, and many are bitten or enslaved by vampires, made strange bat-like creatures who draw on theirs and others blood for power.
Blood for Blood
Starting when you pick this archetype at 3rd level, you learn how to draw blood from your enemy’s wounds to harm them further. Whenever you hit with a Reckless Attack, you may deal 1d6 damage to yourself to deal twice that much to the enemy. This damage increases to 1d8 at 8th level, and 1d10 at 14th level.
Blood Gorge
At 6th level, you learn to harness your blood to engorge your muscles to inhuman proportions. As a reaction while raging, you may deal 1d8 damage to yourself to gain +2 AC till the end of your next turn. This damage increases to 1d10 at 14th level.
Leathered Skin
Starting at 10th level, your skin hardens and adopts a leathery, rough texture. You gain permanent resistance to slashing damage, and you do not suffer the effects of extreme cold or heat as described in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
Vampiric Archon
At 14th level, you embody the dark, vampiric power given to you by the Blood Rage. You sprout a permanent pair of leathery bat wings, and gain a flying speed of 50 feet. In addition, you no longer need to eat, and your eyes turn a shade of near pure red from the blood pooling.
