Monk
Base Class: Monk

Your monastery is dedicated to capturing the essence of one of the most dangerous creatures in the planes: the three-headed Hellbeast. By tapping into the fires of the Nine Hells, you momentarily take on aspects of the Hellbeast, turning you into a ferocious assimilation of infernal, animalistic power.

Savage Inferno

When you hit with an unarmed strike, you may cause the attack to deal slashing damage instead of bludgeoning. Additionally, when you use the Flurry of Blows Monk feature, you may make 3 attacks instead of 2.

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells.

  • You can spend 1 ki point to cast Hunter's Mark
  • You can spend 2 ki points to cast Aganazzar’s Scorcher or Pyrotechnics.
  • You learn the Primal Savagery cantrip, causing Fire damage instead of Acid.

Vessel of the Beast

Starting at 6th level, you can summon the flames of the hellbeast itself. On your turn, you can spend 3 ki points as a bonus action to summon the flames for 10 minutes. Your eyes glow with the orange intensity and your body seems to superheat from just beneath your skin, fire lurching from your mouth as you speak.

While your visage is summoned, you gain the following benefits.

Bestial Instinct. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Charisma (Intimidation) checks.

Astral Sight. You can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 60 feet.

Hide of Hell. You gain resistance to fire damage.

Fist of the Beast King

The fires of the Hellbeast course through your veins. As an action, you can spend 6 ki points to cast the Investiture of Flame spell without verbal or somatic components. Additionally, your Astral Sight gained from the Vessel of the Beast feature increases to a distance of 120 feet.

Infernal Ferocity

The ferocious fighting instinct of the Hellbeast consumes you. While Vessel of the Beast is active, you have advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated. Additionally, you can choose to end Vessel of the Beast early. If you do so, the flames encased inside you erupt in a violent display of pure power, causing any creature of your choosing within a 30ft radius centered on you to make a Dexterity save and a Wisdom save. On a failed Dexterity save, a creature takes 14d6 fire damage, or half as much on a successful save. On a failed Wisdom save, the creature is afraid of you for 1 minute, and may make another Wisdom save at the end of each turn to end the effect. You gain a level of exhaustion after using this ability.

You may only use this ability once per long rest.
