Bard
Base Class: Bard

The world is full of pain and suffering, and everyone gets their fair, or unfair, share. But none have embraced pain as fully as those of the College of Pain. In forgotten corners of war torn countries, in the basements of sanatoriums or even on the front lines of the world's battlefields, these pin-cushions of agony practice their craft. Often pitied by the common man, these bards are by no means debilitated by the pain they experience. On the contrary, they revel in the power this pain bestows on their bodies or minds, knowing that it can only lead to further power.

Singing Scars

When you join the College of Pain at 3rd level, your hit point maximum increases by an amount equal to twice your level. Whenever you gain a level thereafter, your hit point maximum increases by an additional 2 hit points.

Pain-Die

Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your pain to punish those that dare hurt you. For every 10 points of damage you take between turns, you gain a Pain-die. On your turn, you may spend any amount of available Pain-die to bolster the damage of any attack or spell. These die are rolled alongside the damage of the attack or spell and assumes it's damage type. At the end of your turn, any remaining Pain-die fade and can no longer be used.

Your Pain-Die start as a d6, increasing to a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 10th level, and a d12 at 15th level.

Inner Torment

At 6th level, you embrace your pain even further. You gain the ability to sacrifice Bardic Inspiration for Pain-Die. When sacrificing a Bardic Inspiration, on your turn, roll the appropriate die, and take that amount of Psychic damage. After taking the damage, you gain two Pain-Die. You can only sacrifice one Bardic Inspiration per turn in this way.

Share my Pain

Starting at 14th level, when an enemy is damaged by an attack containing Pain-Die, they must make a Constitution Saving Throw versus your Spell Save DC. On a failure, they are vulnerable to the additional damage they take from your Pain-Die.
