Base Class: Barbarian
While most at home on the sea, mist raiders are a terror anywhere. With their unnatural sight, they can stalk their unsuspecting prey through the densest fog and mist.
Child of the Sea
Starting at 3rd level, as long as you not wearing heavy armor or wielding a shield, you have a swimming speed and a climbing speed equal to your normal speed. When you make a Nature or Survival check related to bodies of water, the weather at sea, navigating bodies of water, or the creatures that reside in them, add your proficiency bonus to the check. If you are already proficient, then add twice your proficiency bonus for checks concerning those topics.
When raging, you gain resistance to cold, lightning, and thunder damage.
Mist of Wrath
At 6th level, when you enter a rage or as a bonus action while raging, you can create a 10-foot-radius square of mist centered on a point adjacent to you. Its area is heavily obscured. It lasts for 1 minute or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it. If you are on a moving vehicle such as a ship, the mist moves with it. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Your vision is completely unimpaired by cloud, fog, and mist, even if magically created.
Misty Leap
Starting at 10th level, while in a rage, you can spend a bonus action to create a 5-foot-radius square of mist otherwise identical to the one created by Mist of Wrath centered on a point you can see within 40 feet of you, and you can simultaneously teleport to an unoccupied space within the mist. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Mist Strike
At 14th level, you can perform an armor-piercing strike. While raging, you can turn your melee weapons into solidified mist until the end of your turn. This takes no action. When in mist form, they score a critical hit on 18-20. Additionally, when you use your mist weapons to attack a creature whose AC benefits from armor, natural armor, or a shield, treat their AC as if they lacked any armor, natural armor, or shield. However, magical forms of protection like Mage Armor and Shield are not affected by this feature. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
