Beast Stance
At 3rd level, you learn to channel the spirits of beasts, assuming stances that mimic an animal's qualities. When you gain this feature you learn one Beast Stance option of your choice (see “Beast Stance Options” below).
Once per turn, you can activate a beast stance. Activating a beast stance requires a bonus action. Stances last for 10 minutes. You have two uses of this ability, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a short or long rest.
You gain an additional Beast Stance option of your choice when you reach certain levels in this class: 7th, 11th, and 15th. Some options improve at certain levels, which is detailed in their description.
Beast Stance Options
The Beast Stance feature lets you choose options for it at certain levels. The options are presented here. If an option requires a saving throw, your Beast Stance save DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier.
Bear Stance
The spirit of the bear allows you to maul your opponents. While this stance is active, after you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack you can maul them. The target makes a Constitution saving throw. If it fails the save, it is stunned until the beginning of your next turn. You can attempt to maul a target once, after which the target is immune to this ability until you finish a long rest or activate Bear Stance again.
You gain advantage on Strength saving throws and Strength checks.
Cat Stance
While this stance lasts, if you move at least 10 ft. in a straight line before making a melee weapon attack, you can pounce at the target. If the attack hits, the target must make a Strength saving throw or fall prone.
You gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks if you move no more than half your speed on your turn.
Owl Stance
While the stance lasts, whenever you make a melee attack against a creature on your turn, that creature cannot make opportunity attacks against you until the end of your turn.
Your ability to swoop grants you a flying speed of 10ft.
Ox Stance
For the duration of the stance, you gain 1d6 temporary hit points at the start of your turn. The temporary hit points are lost once the stance ends. The number of temporary hit points increases to 2d6 at level 11. Additionally, once during the duration of the stance, you can use a bonus action to remove one of the following conditions from yourself: Stunned, Paralyzed, Grappled, Incapacitated.
You gain advantage on Constitution checks made to maintain concentration as a result of taking damage.
Snake Stance
For the duration of the stance, once on your turn, when you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can deal an additional 1d6 points of poison damage. The poison damage increases to 2d6 at level 11.
You gain advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) or charisma (Deception) checks (your choice).
Wolf Stance
Your howl bolsters your allies' tenacity. For the duration of the stance, allies within 5 ft. of you gain advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature within 5 feet of you that is hostile to you.
You have advantage on Charisma (Intimidate) checks.
