Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Whether they were conscripted when they were young, or were razed with great expectations of a military career, Brigand find they have to look the part. This does not, however, mean they have to fight by the same rules.

Brigand wear the armor, and fight in a vaguely traditional manner, and most of all they know how to exploit any opportunity.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose the path of the Brigand you gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons which do not have the Heavy property.

Hidden Blade

Starting at 3rd level, on a round where you attack with a weapon which lacks the finesse property you may use your bonus action to attack with your hidden blade. The first time you use this attack in a combat, if your target is unaware of this blades existence, you make this attack with advantage. In either case this attack may benefit from your sneak attack.

Your hidden blade is one of your choosing and is associated with an item you must be wielding. Weather its as simple as a dagger you have hidden at the small of your back, or the guard on your sword is sharpened to deadly point, you have your own signature secret weapon that few, if any, have lived to speak of. Whatever form your hidden blade takes it has the same mechanics as a dagger.

If you have elected to poison your hidden blade you must be wary, as if someone is aware of it they may turn it against you. A target which is aware of your hidden blade and has successfully grappled you may use an action to attack you with your hidden blade, or substitute this attack for one of their attacks. This is an improvised attack, those who are proficient in martial arts or improvised weapons are proficient in this attack.

Extra Attack

Starting at 9th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the attack action on your turn and are wielding a weapon which has neither the Finesse or Heavy properties.

Look The Part

You have a knack for picking up on the regulation kit for any given organized police or military organization. Even if you are not in exactly the right colors as long as you have medium or heavy armor on you have advantage on deception checks to pass yourself off as a member of the organization.

Menace

By 13th level, You can use a bonus action on your turn to gain advantage on the next Intimidation or Athletics check you make during the same turn.

Inevitable Ploy

Your hidden blade has become legendary by the time you have reached 17th level. Thus, when you use your Menace feature you may use your action to make an opposed skill check using your Strength or Charisma Intimidation versus the targets Wisdom Insight. If you succeed the target is immediately Frightened of you until the end of your next turn and you may make a Hidden Blade attack with advantage as part of this action. If your Hidden Blade attack misses the target is immune to this attack for the rest of the encounter.
