Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Dark shadows exist on every world. Creatures scuttle in the dark, waiting, plotting. Their countless eyes no doubt see the paladin's holy light, hear the clank of their blessed armour, and scuttle back into their lairs before they can be discovered. The path of The Inquisitor takes a subtler approach. As evil is cunning, so shall you be. For when those fiends scuttle back to safety, that is where, unbeknownst to them, you will be waiting.

Hunter of the Unnatural

Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Arcana and Religion. Additionally, you may ritually cast the Detect Magic and Detect Good and Evil spells at will.

Condemn the Heretic

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to condemn a creature to death. You may Condemn a creature within 60 ft of you as a bonus action. While that creature is Condemned, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your weapon attacks against the Condemned creature count as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance.
  • You may add your Sneak Attack damage to your attacks against Condemned creatures even if you do not have advantage on the attack or an ally within 5 ft of the enemy. All other restrictions still apply.
  • You know the exact location of the creature wherever they may be, including on other planes.

A creature remains Condemned for 1 hour, or until the creature dies or you end it as a bonus action. Once you use this feature, you may not use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Mind Breaker

At 9th level, you learn to strike where it is most disruptive. Whenever an attack you make against a creature forces that creature to make a saving throw, that saving throw is made at disadvantage.

Relentless Pursuit

At 9th level, you are nearly impossible to escape. When a creature within 60 ft of you uses movement or an ability to end up more than 60 ft away from you, you may use your reaction to Condemn them. All other restrictions still apply.

Ritual Render

By 13th level, you have learned special techniques or acquired rare materials that you can use to disrupt advanced rituals. You may use this feature to cast either the Dispel Magic or Lesser Restoration spells at their lowest level. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these spells. Once you use this feature, you may not use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Unwavering Wrath

At 17th level, you have mastered the art of hunting the profane, granting you new bonuses against those you have Condemned. When you attack a Condemned creature, your Sneak Attack dice become d8s, rather than d6s. Additionally, you may now use Condemn at will, without requiring a short or long rest in between uses. You may only Condemn one creature at a time. Should you use it on a second creature, the Condemnation on the first creature ends.
