Base Class: Warlock
The Legendary Sword of Aldones, or the Starblade, is said to anchor Aldones, the Lord of Light, an otherworldly but benevolent entity, to the Prime Material Plane. Aldones guards the Dream Realm -- a corner of the Astral Plane -- where the positive dreams of sentient beings manifest. Because the Birthplace of Nightmares borders both the Dream Realm and the Shadowfell, the Raven Queen and the Lord of Light often find themselves in conflict, making Starblade and Hexblade warlocks natural enemies.
This great sword is made of a bluish crystal said to be harder then diamond, but is quite light, and wields as if made of mythral. Lesser blades of the same bluish crystal have been found throughout the ages. Short swords and daggers are said to grow from its pommel like smaller crystals grow from larger ones.
The Starblade Warlock Subclass is a tribute to Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover Series, which blends science fiction and fantasy in an unforgettable way.

Starsong
Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to psychically bond with someone. As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The bond lasts for 1 minute, but will end early if the target dies, you die, or you are incapacitated in some way. Until the bond ends, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a bonus to damage rolls against a non-good bonded adversary. The bonus equals your proficiency bonus.
- Any attack roll you make against a non good adversary is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
- If the bonded target dies, it generates a pool of celestial energy equal to your warlock level + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1 hit point). As a bonus action, you can use this energy to heal one creature you can see within 60 feet of you. If unused, this pool will dissipate during a short or long rest.
- Bonding with good-aligned creatures or non-evil allies will grant them your warlock level plus Charisma modifier of temporary hit points and allow you to stabilize them as a bonus action if they are within 60 feet of you.
You can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.
Star Warrior
At 1st level, you acquire the training necessary to effectively arm yourself for battle. You gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons.
Your patron gifts you with a small crystalline shard of its essence that allows you to mystically channel your will through a particular weapon. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can affix this shard to a weapon that you are proficient with and that lacks the two-handed property. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, every pact weapon you conjure with that feature includes this shard.
Avatar of Light
Starting at 6th level, you can summon an Avatar of Light, the statistics for which are in DnD Beyond, whenever you are within 100 feet of an evil creature. It will obey your verbal commands until your next long rest. When the avatar appears, it gains temporary hit points equal to half your warlock level, in addition to its base HP. Roll initiative for the avatar, which has its own turns. It gains a special bonus to its attack rolls equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +0).
The avatar remains in your service until the end of your next long rest, at which point it returns to the Astral Plane.
Once you summon an avatar with this feature, you can’t use the feature again until you finish a long rest.
Armor of Light
At 10th level, your starting grows more powerful. If a creature bonded by your song hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to roll a d6. On a 4 or higher, the attack instead misses you, regardless of its roll.
Songmaster
Starting at 14th level, you can shift your Starsong from a slain creature to another creature. When the creature bonded by your Starsong, you can apply it to a different creature you can see within 60 feet of you, provided you aren’t incapacitated.
