Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

When thinking of a barbarian, most imagine hulking, blood-soaked savages screaming and foaming at the mouth. However, some barbarians hold back their rage and channel it inward with great discipline and restraint. By honing their anger, it becomes more lethal when released. Thus the War Trancer’s rage becomes an altered consciousness, a state of terrifying focus where their reflexes are heightened and their movements supernaturally swift. War Trancer barbarians can almost seem monastic in aspect, and temper themselves into living weapons through control of their rage.

Bonus Proficiencies

At 3rd level, your awareness of your surroundings has improved with training. You become proficient in Investigation and Perception, if you were not proficient in those skills already.

Battle Trance

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you enter a state of heightened consciousness when you rage. While raging, you can dash as a bonus action.

Additionally, when you take Attack action while raging, you can make an unarmed attack as a bonus action, adding your proficiency modifier to the attack's damage roll. This feature improves as you level up: at 9th level you can make two unarmed attacks with this bonus action; at 17th level you can make three unarmed attacks with this action. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier regaining all uses upon finishing a short or a long rest.

You can only use the above features if you are not using a shield or holding a weapon in both hands.

Inner Peace

At 6th level, you can exercise great restraint, controlling your body and its response to pain. When you leave a rage, you can use your reaction to regain hit points equal to 1d12 + your Barbarian level. Once you use this ability you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Reckless Clarity

Also at 6th level, you can use your keen senses to avoid attacks, even when at your most aggressive. When you use your Reckless Attack, you can use your reaction to add your Wisdom modifier to your Armour Class until the beginning of your next turn.

Iron Mind

Beginning at 10th level, your willpower becomes unbreakable when you enter a war trance. While raging, you are proficient in all saving throws. Additionally, you can use an action to end an effect on you that charmed or frightened you. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1), regaining all uses after finishing a long rest.

Violent Precision

Your attacks are more than just mindless swinging; you hone in on your foe's weaknesses' unconsciously. Starting at 14th level, when you have advantage on an attack roll while raging, you can roll an additional d20 and choose the highest roll of the three.
