Base Class: Barbarian

Unlike other barbarians, barbarians of the Path of the Shaman harness the spirits of their ancestors, and are able to use magic rather than just brute strength. Barbarians of the Path of the Shaman use magic of the elements to defeat their opponents, as well as to heal their allies.

Shaman Spellcasting

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your spells. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a bard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Conscious Rage

At 3rd level, you can cast certain spells while raging. You gain the ability to cast any spells granted by the Path of the Shaman, even when you are in a Rage.

Healing Surge

At 6th level, you can, as an action, once per short or long rest, restore an amount of hit points to yourself or a creature within a 10 ft radius equal to 1d4 for every two of your Barbarian levels (i.e. If you are 10th level, you restore 5d4 hit points. If you are 20th level, you restore 10d4 hit points.

Ancestral Guidance

At 6th level, you gain a connection enough to your ancestors that they can help you. While raging, your ancestors can guide you. While raging, you have advantage on one attack roll per turn.

Mastery of the Elements

Starting at 14th level, once per long rest, as an action, you may cast either Chain Lightning, Earthquake, Fire Storm, Wall of Ice, or Whirlwind at the lowest Spell Level possible for that spell. Additionally, at any time, you can cast Commune as a ritual.
