Base Class: Monk
Martial artists who harness ki in order to manifest, amplify, and manipulate their aura to empower their bodies and crush others with the force of their will.
Potent Aura
Starting at 3rd level, you can cause your aura to blaze to life, honing your mind and body past their usual limits.
As a bonus, you can activate your aura, which lasts for one minute or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. While your aura is active, you shed bright light for 5 ft and dim light for an additional 5 ft.
While your aura is active you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a bonus to your Armor Class equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1)
- Your walking speed increases by 10 ft.
- You have advantage on Constitution checks and saving throws.
- You gain a number of temporary hit points equal to half your monk level (rounded down) plus your Wisdom modifier.
You may use this feature twice before completing a short or long rest.
Additionally, when you gain this feature at 3rd level, you must pick your aura’s type. Depending on the type you pick, you gain an additional benefit:
Mental Aura
While your aura is active, you have advantage against being Frightened and Charmed.
Metaphysical Aura
While your aura is active, you cannot have your mind read. In addition, you have advantage on Charisma based skill checks.
Physical Aura
While your aura is active, your jump height is tripled. In addition, you cannot have your speed reduced by magic.
Aura Sight
Your mastery over aura grants you enhance abilities in seeing and detecting the auras of others. You have Aura Sight that is effective up to 1 mile away from you. Additionally, you are able to detect even cloaked auras. As an action, you may make a Wisdom check. If you roller higher than a cloaked targets Cloaking DC, you are able to detect their aura as normal for one minute.
Suppressing Aura
Starting at 6th level, whenever your Aura is active, you can use its power to influence and dampen the emotions and auras of those around you. You may expend 2 Ki points to cast the Calm Emotions spell without any components. Additionally, any creatures that are affected by the spell have their aura repressed for 1 minute.
Aura Cloaking
At 6th level, you are not just able to detect the cloaked auras of others, but also cloak your own. As an action, you can expend 1 Ki point to cloak your aura. This cloaking lasts for 8 hours. While cloaked, your aura is indetectable to creatures with Aura Sight. If a creature possesses an ability that would allow it to perceive your cloaked aura, it must make a Wisdom check against your Ki save DC to do so.
Defensive Aura
Starting at 11th level, your aura is powerful enough to defend you from physical harm. Whenever you take damage, you can use your reaction to activate your aura. When your aura is active to and your reaction to spend one or more Ki points. For each point spent this way, you can reduce that damage by one roll of your martial arts die.
Overpowering Aura
Starting at 17th level, you gain the ability to bring your enemies to their knees with the force of your aura. As an action, you can force all creatures of your choice within 30 ft. of you to make a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a fail, they fall prone, have their speed halved for 1 minute, and are frightened until the end of your next turn. On a success, they do not fall prone or become frightened, but their speed is still halved.
