Base Class: Rogue
Decisive in judgment and lethal in combat, the Ethereal Blade is assassin of the highest caliber. Their fiery ambition has driven them to pursue heavily guarded targets, even at the risk of endangering their allies—but no matter the mission, they will not hesitate to execute their duty amid a whirlwind of serrated weapons.
Another One Bites the Dust
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you develop a voracious need to take down your foes. Whenever you lethally reduce an enemy to 0 hp with sneak attack damage, the use of sneak attack is refreshed.
Ricochet
Starting at 3rd level, you've mastered the art of throwing light weaponry. When you throw a weapon with the light property, make another attack for up to 2 other enemies within 5 feet of the initial target as the blade ricochets between them.
Strikethrough
At 3rd level, you gain the ability use the battlefield to your advantage, tactically using the placement of thrown weaponry to damage multiple opponents in quick succession. As a bonus action, when you retrieve a thrown weapon from the ground you can slash through all enemies within a 5 foot range. The creatures must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus). On failure, they take regular attack damage. Sneak attack cannot be applied to this ability.
Anticipation
Starting at 9th level, you know how to manipulate your foes and feint past their guard to gain a better vantage point for your next attack. As a bonus action, you toss a weapon to a location within range, gaining 10 feet of movement speed and not provoking attacks of opportunity when moving past enemies.
Flash Step
Beginning at 13th level, you've mastered the ethereal and can transport yourself through the ethereal plane to an enemy or object you recognize. As an action, you can teleport up to 30 feet to a creature or weapon you've thrown. If you teleport to a creature, you appear behind it and make a melee attack with advantage.
Marked for Death
At 17th level, you've perfected the dance of death forming arcane knives from the ethereal and your own ki to decimate enemies. Up to three creatures within 15 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus). The creatures take 10d6 damage on a failed save and half as much damage on a success.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
