Base Class: Monk
Those who follow the Way of Strength have dedicated their lives to perfecting their inner and outer strength. Their martial prowess is not focused on lithe and dexterous strikes, but rather: titanic blows, overwhelming force, and devastating maneuvers. With time those of the Way of Strength can focus their might into truly concussive punches. Sending shockwaves with each blow.
Strong Technique
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have strengthened your muscles to endure physical punishment. You now take your Strength bonus in place of dexterity when using your Unarmored Defense feature.
- STR + WIS = AC
Additionally, you may use your reaction and expend up to 3 ki points to gain resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage until the end of your next turn. You choose one resistance type for every ki point expended.
Powerful Blows
At 6th level, the force of your Unarmed Strikes become thunderous at your will. You can expend 2 ki points when you hit your Unarmed Strikes to add 1d8 of thunder damage. You now deal double damage to all structures and constructs.
Forceful Strength
Beginning at 11th level, your Powerful Blows now may deal force or thunder damage. You may also spend your ki to increase the damage of your hits by an additional d8 for every ki point spent, up to a max of 5d8 total. Should you use your Powerful Blows on a Fury of Blows hit you may also choose to add one additional effect:
- Overhand Punch: You knock the enemy prone.
- Gut Punch: Reduce your opponent's speed by half until the end of their next turn.
- Uppercut: Impose disadvantage on your opponent until the end of their next turn.
- Heavy Bow: Offers you the disengage action from the opponent struck.
Ultimate Strength
At 17th level, you gain the ability to deliver your full force of strength. You now overcome all resistances to bludgeoning damage when you use your unarmed strikes, even magical. You gain permanent resistance to physical and magical bludgeoning damage. Additionally, you have acquired a means of giving your opponent mercy by utter destruction with your Hay-maker.
- Hay-maker: As an action you may spend 5 ki points to deliver a devastating blow. Your opponent must make a Strength Saving Throw against your monk DC. On a failure the creature takes 8d10 Force damage or if they have 100 Hit Points or less, automatically reduced to 0 and unconscious. On a success the target creature takes half as much damage.
