Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Call him a Secret Agent, call him a spy, call him an Assassin. All of these are both accurate and inaccurate by the same measure. A Shadow Agent works for the Unseen in whatever capacity he can.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with 2 of your choice: the disguise kit, the poisoner’s kit, the forgery kit.

Glib Lie

Effects that would force the spy to tell the truth must succeed a DC = 8 + your Cha modifier + your proficiency bonus in order to affect you. If it fails, you may lie, but the caster has no idea you are doing so.

In addition, you gain a bonus on Charisma (Deception) checks to lie convincingly equal to one-third of your level.

Master of Disguise

A Secret Agent is a master of disguise, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally.  You are able to disappear into crowds, talk your way past a guard, pass as another, or change the minds of others.  At level 3, you may choose a skill proficiency in either Deception or Persuasion, or a tool proficiency in Disguise Kit.  If you are already proficient, you may choose expertise in it.

Silent Takedown

By 9th level, you have learned how to sneak up on unaware enemies and subdue them without resistance. You may make a melee attack against a surprised or unwitting creature with a +1 bonus to hit. If the attack hits, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw or fall unconscious. This action doesn't generate any significant amount of audio or visual disturbance. For a creature to notice, it must make a Perception check with a DC equal to your rogue level + your Dex modifier + 8.

Impostor

At 13th level, you gain the ability to unerringly mimic another person’s speech, writing, and behavior. You must spend at least three hours studying these three components of the person’s behavior, listening to speech, examining handwriting, and observing mannerisms.

Your ruse is indiscernible to the casual observer. If a wary creature suspects something is amiss, you have advantage on any Charisma (Deception) check you make to avoid detection.

Charming

A Shadow Agent is a smooth operator on and off the battlefield, natural charisma flowing from every pore.  At level 13, you may cast Charm Person as a 1st-level spell, using Charisma as your spellcasting modifier.  At level 17 you cast it as a 2nd-level spell.  You may cast it twice per long rest.  If the target succeeds the save, you may not attempt to cast this spell on them again for 24 hours.

Death Strike

Starting at 17th level, you become a master of instant death. When you attack and hit a creature that is surprised, it must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, double the damage of your attack against the creature.
