Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the Bard spell list.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the Bard spell list. You learn an additional Bard cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Shadow Master Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Bard spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell hideous laughter and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast hideous laughter using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level Bard spells of your choice.

The Spells Known column of the Shadow Master Spellcasting table shows when you learn more Bard spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

Spellcasting Ability

Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your bard spells, since you learn your spells through your new founded carelessness for everything. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a bard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier 

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Shadow Puppet

At 3rd level, you learn a ritual that creates a magical bond between yourself and the Shadow fel. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. 

Once you have bonded with the shadow fel you can split your mind you take damage equal to 3 times your level when you do you summon a shadow puppet it looks like you but made entirely of shadow its stats are equal to you except it has half your health and is equipped with the weapon you are holding. It takes its turn immediately after yours and can be commanded with a bonus action. If it was not commanded it does the dodge action on its turn and nothing else. 

Shadowy Will

Beginning at 7th level, you gain resistance to psychic damage and cannot be frightened 

Shadow Enhancement

At 10th level, you can augment your weapon attacks when you attack you can expand a spell slot when you do the attack does an additional 1d6 psychic damage per level of the spell that was used. e.g if it was a 5th level spell it does an additional 5d6 psychic damage. 

The shadow puppet can also use this feature but uses your spell slots when it does it.  

Shadow Form

At 15th level, you gain the ability to let your body shift into shadow you turn into a shadow from the monster manual this uses the specifics of shape shifting from the druid class

In addition you can instantly move as the shadow after you have transformed. You may use a bonus action on your turn to change back. 

 You can use this feature twice per long rest 

Shadowy Mind Link

Starting at 18th level, when you use your action to cast a spell, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action. In addition you can bonus action to control a shadow puppet and can cast the spell from the shadow puppet instead of yourself.
