Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some barbarians train for battle with swords and brute strength. These barbarians train at sea, using their allies and coordinated attacks to make crippling blows.

Catch

At level 3, you gain proficiency with woodcarvers tools, and can use your strength modifier for any checks that use woodcarvers tools. You can create an oar out of wood if you spend at least one hour working on it with a sufficiently strong bit of wood. An appropriate supply would be the trunk of a newly fallen tree. This construction can be done during a short or long rest. Oars use the same statistics as a maul, however it gains the reach ability. The amount of care required to maintain the oar makes it such that if another oar is created while another made my the same person is is working order, the older oar becomes brittle and becomes nonfunctional.

Dive

At level 3, you may use your bonus action before you roll-to-hit on your first attack to impose disadvantage on the roll to add an additional damage die to the attack. If either die rolls a 20, the attack counts as a critical, treating the disadvantage as advantage.

Missed Stroke

Beginning at 6th level, if, while you are in a rage, an ally within 10 feet misses an attack, you may use your reaction to allow them to re-roll the attack, however you impose disadvantage on the second attack on your next turn.

Friend of the Dawn

Beginning at 10th level, taking a long rest now takes two hours less than it usually would for you, and you can now also take a short rest while doing moderate amounts of activity.

Layback

At 10th level, when an ally hits a target that is within 5 feet of you, you may make an opportunity attack against the same target if all attacks on your last turn were made against the same target and if all of them hit.

Swing

Starting at 14th level, you may elect to get two reactions during a round. This can be done as a free action during your turn, or immediately after using your first reaction. This may be done a number of times equal to your strength modifier (minimum of once), recharging after a long rest.
