Base Class: Barbarian
A barbarian who follows the Path of the Storm Lord has been granted powers directly from the God of the storm himself. Many can recognize these fierce warriors from the lightning that bursts throughout their bodies when they are involved in combat. Warriors who follow this path of power have found that many of the powers gained were already within them, and the Storm Lord just amplified those powers in order for them to become noticeable.
The Storm Lords warriors are chosen in very rare circumstances, and they usually have a direct path of communication with him when they need it most. Sometimes, the Storm lord may have to wait centuries before finding a champion worthy of his powers, and other times he may find a collection of people who he gives them to.
Lightning Aura
Starting at 3rd level, small crackles of lightning surround you while you're in combat, and you begin to learn how to use them to empower your strikes.
You learn the thunderclap and lightning lure cantrips. However, you can only cast these cantrips while you are raging.
Also while raging, each time you hit a creature with melee damage you deal additional lightning damage equal to your Charisma modifier, your bonus damage from your rage feature is now considered lightning damage.
Additionally, you gain resistance to lightning damage.
Thundering Steps
Beginning at 6th level, you gain direct access to the Storm Lord's powers.
Thunder Jump. As an action while raging, you can choose to jump up to your movement speed in any direction. When you do this, you can choose to have lightning explode around you when you land, forcing all creatures in a 5 foot radius to make Dexterity saving throws. On failure, they take damage equal to 2d6 + Charisma modifer and are knocked back 5 feet or half as much on a success and they don't get knocked back. You may only use this feature once per rage.
Lightning Armor
At 10th level, huge bolts of lightning flow about you wildly.
Once per short rest, you can use your reaction after being hit to cause a surge of lightning to burst out of you. The creature striking you, as well as all creatures within 5 feet of you, must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC. On failure, they take lightning damage equal to how much damage you took.
Lightning Weaponry
Once you reach 14th level, your weapons become attuned to your lightning powers, allowing you to channel them more effectively.
Your lightning aura damage improves to 1d8 + your Charisma modifier.
Also, on a critical hit, you may choose to call down a bolt of lightning onto a creature within 30 feet. The creature must make a Dexterity Saving throw against your Spell Save DC; the creature takes 3d10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
