Base Class: Rogue
You're focus in life has been about the art of dance. Many people often partake in dancing as an activity but very rarely do people take it upon themselves to entertain the masses. Graceful and agile, a dancer trains to perfect their craft. Your nimble and precise movements allow you to move in and out of danger on the battlefield.
Closed Partition
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Performance skill if you didn't already have it.
Additionally, when you throw a light weapon it returns to your hand immediately; you still count as holding and wielding the weapon, and if you have the ability to make multiple attacks you can make further attacks with that weapon.
Starting at 3rd level, you assign a willing ally as your dance partner as a bonus action. They stay your dance partner until you end this effect with a bonus action or either of you fall unconscious or either of you take a short or long rest. You can only have one dance partner at a time.
Your dance partner adds your proficiency bonus to their attack roll.
Standard Step and Shield Samba
Beginning at 9th level, you can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the attack action on your turn.
At 9th level, you can use Standard Step as a bonus action to gain any one of the following effects for both you and your dance partner:
- Reroll an attack roll
- Reroll a damage die
- Add +2 to an attack roll
- Add +2 to a damage die
The amount of uses for Standard Step is equal to your CHA modifier. These can be recovered after taking a long rest.
Starting at 11th level you can recover half the amount of uses for Standard Step by taking a short rest.
At 14th level, the amount of Standard Step uses is double your CHA modifier.
Shield Samba
Also at 9th level, you can cast the spell Shield on yourself once per long rest without expending a spell slot.
Curing Waltz and Saber Dance
At 13th level, you can cast the spell Mass Cure Wounds at 5th level once per long rest without expending a spell slot. Charisma will be your spellcasting ability.
Saber Dance
Also at 13th level, whenever you make an attack roll, you can ricochet your offhand throwing weapon to attack an enemy up to 20 feet behind the initial target for full damage or on the same target for half damage. Both attacks are done on the same attack roll.
Technical Step
At 17th level, you can use your action to use Technical Step to assign or reassign a willing ally as your dance partner.
Once during the initiative order, The dance partner picks a hostile creature and takes their additional turn before that creature's.
When the dance partner takes this turn, they are no longer assigned as dance partner.
