Path of the Bone Collector

Negative Energy Rage

Starting at 3rd level, you can channel the negative energy of your bonecraft items into your rage. Whenever you enter your rage you can choose one of the following negative energy rage options.

Necrotic Strikes. While you’re raging, the first creature you hit on each of your turns with a bonecraft weapon attack takes extra necrotic damage equal to 1d4, and can't regain hitpoints until the start of your next turn. This damage increases to 1d6 at 6th level, 1d8 at 10th level, and 1d10 at 14th level.(Requires a bonecraft simple or martial melee weapon)

Necrotic Armor While raging, your bonecraft armor grants you resistance to necrotic damage, and poison damage. Additionally when you enter rage you gain 5 temporary hit points. This amount increases to 10 at 6th level, 15 at 10th level, and 20 at 14th level. Any leftover temporary hit points disappear when your rage ends.(Requires a bonecraft shield, studded leather armor, or scale mail armor.)

Bone Smith

Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in leatherworker's tools, or smith's tools, if you're not already proficient with them. As part of a short rest, you can harvest bone and hide from a slain beast, humanoid, dragon, monstrosity, or undead creature of size Small or larger to create a bonecraft version of one of the following items: A martial or simple melee weapon, Studded leather armor, Scale mail armor, or a shield.

When you use this feature to create a bonecraft item, you can imbue the item with minor necromantic magic. The magic lasts indefinitely, however you can only affect a number of bonecraft items equal to your constitution modifier (minimum of one item). If you try to exceed your maximum, the oldest property immediately ends, and then the new property applies. Choose from one of the properties listed below.

  • The item whispers a pre-determined phrase no more than 6 seconds long, each time it is picked up, or donned.

  • The item grants the wielder darkvision out to 10 feet, if they don't already have darkvision.

  • While the item is held or worn, the wielder takes on an unsettling characteristic. Such as glowing red eyes, crackling skin, foul odor, or other harmless effect of your choice.

  • While holding or wearing the item, the wielder always knows the item's depth below the ground. Additionally this item floats on water and other liquids.

  • The item whispers to it's weilder revealing the location of any undead creature, or place or object that has been consecrated, or desecrated within 10 feet.
