Base Class: Monk

Harness Ki to absorb and redirect damage from incoming attacks

Build

Starting at 3rd level you can use ki to absorb kinetic energy from incoming attacks and store it. As an action you can spend 1 ki to enter a defensive stance, until the start of your next turn you gain resistance to slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage.

Keep track of the amount of damage resisted and for every 10 points of damage prevented gain 1 point of Flow. The maximum amount of Flow  you can have at any given time is equal to half your monk level rounded up, any unused points of Flow remaining at the end of a short or long rest are removed as the energy harmlessly disperses into the space around you. You cannot use This feature while you are at your maximum Flow.

Break

Starting at 3rd level whenever you land an unarmed strike made with your Flurry of blows feature you may spend Flow points to increase the damage of the attack. You gain an additional 1d10 force damage for each point of flow spent this way.

Elemental Defence

You may pick 1 additional damage type at levels 6, 11 and 17.
