Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You are a rogue that is fascinated with magic and have found ways to find it as well as make it your own. Whether it was by a teacher or all on your own, you’ve learned to read spell scrolls and can transcribe certain spells into a ritual book that you possess. With your own personal agenda in mind, you know how to use these spells which may help you in combat or ways to help you find solutions that you feel can only be accomplished through the help of magical means. You may not be a wizard, but you are still certainly not to be messed with.
Rogues of this following tend to form secret Libraries where their “collected” knowledge can be hoarded, rarely to be shared with outsiders.

Smart Cookie

Starting at 3rd level, through tedious study and practice, you have learned how to read spell scrolls to cast the magic stored within. You also gain proficiency in the Arcana and History skills, if not already proficient.

Prized Spellbook

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, through your ability of reading spell scrolls you also gained a limited ability of spellcasting. You now have a ritual book of your own that you can inscribe magical rituals into. You get to add the Ritual Caster (Wizard) feat. With your ritual book in hand, you can cast these spells as rituals. You can't cast the spells except as rituals, unless you've learned them by some other means.
On your adventures, you can add other ritual spells to your book. When you find such a spell, you can add it to the book as long as it is a level you are able to cast it and if you can spare time to transcribe the spell. For each level of the spell, the transcription process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp for the rare inks needed to inscribe it.
Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your spells, since you learn your spells through study and memorization. When you reach certain levels you can inscribe higher leveled spells, and spells from other class lists. The Scroll Speaker Spellcasting table shows when you learn higher leveled spells.
Like any other spellbook, if this book is lost or destroyed, the scroll speaker must re-create the ritual book from scratch. Thus it is important to keep a backup handy.

Speedy Ritual

At 9th level, you have learned to speed up the pace of your ritual casting. When you are casting a spell from your ritual book, the amount of minutes it takes to cast the spell is reduced by a number of minutes equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of one).

Additionally, at level 9, you can add the feat Ritual Caster (Cleric), or Ritual Caster (Druid).

Magic Boost

Starting at 13th level you now have the ability to cast spells as rituals that don’t already have the ritual tag. You can only add 3rd-level or lower spells to your spellbook from the wizard spell list and any other additional class spells that you have access to.
These spells must have the concentration tag and a duration of at least 10 minutes. You still use Intelligence as your spellcasting ability when casting a spell that is not on the wizard spell list.
At 19th level you can use 4th-level or lower spells.

Additionally, at level 13, you can add the feat Ritual Caster (Paladin), or Ritual Caster (Warlock), or the Ritual Caster feat you did not select at level 9.

Arcane Memory

Beginning at 17th level, your ability to memorize spells has become phenomenal. Choose any number of 1st-level spells equal to your intelligence modifier (minimum of 1) that are in your ritual book. Once per long rest, you can cast one of these spells without having to cast it as a ritual.
After every long rest, you can replace any or all of the spells you chose with another 1st-level spells from your ritual book. This requires you to study for 1 hour for each new 1st-level spell you prepare for the day. You are not required to study for spells that you did not replace.

Additionally, at level 17, you add the Ritual Caster (Bard), as well as the other two options you did non select at the previous levels.
