Base Class: Wizard
'"These Scourgers, what are they? Artillery? Assassins?"
"They are both. Hidden spies and destroyers. Executioners."
Bonus Proficiencies
At 2nd level, you gain proficiency in Deception and Stealth. If you are already proficient, add double your proficiency bonus to any checks made using that skill.
Arcane Sneak Attack
Starting at 2nd level, you know how to strike subtly and exploit a foe's distraction. Once per turn, you can deal extra damage equal to your Intelligence modifier to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse or a ranged weapon or be a spell attack.
You don't need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn't incapacitated, and you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Espionage Expertise
Despite your prowess with magic, you relentlessly train so it's not a crutch, giving you considerable skill in mundane infiltration tactics as well.
At 6th level, you gain proficiency with the disguise kit, forgery kit, poisoner's kit, and thieves' tools. When you make a check using one of those tools, roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the result.
Componentless Spellcasting
Beginning at 10th level, you can push yourself to cast spells without the normal requirements, allowing you to wreak havoc undetected. When you cast a spell, you can cast it without using any verbal and somatic components and any material components that lack a gp value.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Eldritch Ambusher
Starting at 10th level, you are particularly adept at catching enemies off guard. When you use your Arcane Sneak Attack feature, you can deal additional damage equal to half your wizard level instead of your Intelligence modifier.
Ultimate Operative
By the time you reach 14th level, you have achieved a skill set that is both remarkably broad and impressively specialized, allowing you to fulfill your mission no matter the challenge. You gain the following benefits.
- Whenever you make an ability check that lets you add your proficiency bonus, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
- You can add half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check you make that doesn't already include your proficiency bonus.
In addition, you master a technique that hides you from magical detection. You and the items on your person cannot be detected by divination spells.
