Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your innate magic comes from the full force of nature, perhaps you come from a long line of Dryads, or from a circle of druids and were magically gifted to have a full connection with nature. As a Verdant Sorcerer you are nature incarnate, because of this you have access to the druid spell list as well as a variety of features which empower you to be the avatar of the green.

Verdant Sorcery

Because of your strong tie to the Earth's energies you can learn spells from the Druid class as they become available to the sorcerer table.

Rose Deathbed

At 1st level, if you were to take damage that would reduce your hit points to 0, you can roll a charisma saving throw (DC 7 + your charisma modifier). On a success, you let go releasing your outer form defying death for 1 turn remaining at 0 hit points and releasing a razor sharp rose petal storm around you dealing 1d8 slashing damage on hit to enemies in a 5 ft radius. In this form you are still targetable, rooted in place, can be healed back into life, and can only cast damaging spells. If you are reduced below 0 hit points or are not healed before the turn ends, then your character will proceed with death saving throws as usual. This effect can only occur once per long rest.

The petal storm's damage increases by 1d8 at 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8)

Strength of Nature

At 6th level, anytime you cast a "Power of Nature" spell you can add your charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell.

Petal Wings

At 14th level, you can use a bonus action to bring forth a maelstrom of petals from your back and form them into wings granting you flying speed equal to your current move speed. These wings last until they are dismissed as a bonus action, the petals will dissipate back into your own essence after.

You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them.

True Nature Release

At 18th level, you gain the ability to fully control your inner incarnate of nature, as an action you can spend 6 sorcery points releasing your outer self revealing the state described in Rose Deathbed, however in this state you are no longer rooted, are not limited to only casting damaging spells, and can use your Petal Wings. On initial cast you still will release the burst of petals doing 4d8 slashing damage, and while in this state as a bonus action, you can choose one target within 30 ft and fill the air around it with toxic spores, the target must make a constitution saving throw. On fail this target takes acid damage equal to your sorcerer level, and half damage on a successful one.

You will remain in this state for 1 minute or if you lose concentration, similar to casting a concentration spell. This effect can only occur once per long rest and does not consume your death defying Rose Deathbed.
