Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Fluidly dancing through combat, wielding a fluttering shroud, you are a mysterious and entrancing combatant to behold as you conceal your movement and strike with elegant ferocity.

Veil Dance

At 3rd level, your rippling veil and graceful abandon cause you to be elusive and your strikes land with deadly force. As a bonus action, you can use 10 feet of movement to make a Charisma (Performance) check with a DC equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus and create an illusory veil or use a physical veil to dance with in one hand for up to one minute. If you succeed on your Charisma (Performance), your dancing movement with your veil provides you with half cover and uses 10 feet of movement at the beginning of each turn after the first.

You have disadvantage on all Dexterity (Stealth) checks made while using this feature. This effect ends if you become restrained, incapacitated, or are prone. This feature cannot be used while using a shield or while wearing medium or heavy armor.

This feature does not provide cover against a creature that is blinded or doesn't rely on sight, as with blindsight. An illusion created with this feature doesn’t provide cover against creatures that can see through illusions, as with truesight.

While receiving cover from this feature, you can use a bonus action to conceal your attack rhythm by dancing and flourishing your veil. Until the end of your turn, you don’t need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature with a melee or thrown attack if you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll. All the other rules for Sneak Attack still apply to you.

Captive Audience

Starting at 3rd level, your dancing brings you closer to those around you. As a reaction while using the Veil Dance feature, you can move up to half your movement speed toward an opponent that started their turn within 5 feet of you.

Additionally, when you dance in front of an audience, you may make a Charisma (Performance) check against a DC equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus. If you succeed, you gain advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks against members of the audience for the next 10 minutes.

Fluid Flurry

At 9th level, your veiled movement becomes so fluid that you can move amongst foes and throw out retaliations against attackers with ease. While the Veil Dance feature is providing you cover from a creature, your movement no longer provokes attacks of opportunity from them. Additionally, if you or an ally is attacked by a creature the Veil Dance provides you cover from, you can use your reaction to make a ranged attack with a light thrown weapon against them.

Deadly Rhythm

Starting at 13th level, your limber dance sets a cadence for devastating strikes. Attacks made with a light weapon score a critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20 while using the Veil Dance feature.

Pervasive Veil

Beginning at 17th level, your flurried veil cloaks your dance as your blurred form darts between attacks, briefly leaving an echo of your veil in your wake. As a bonus action, you can activate the Pervasive Veil feature, leaving an echo of your illusory veil in the space you move through until the beginning of your next turn and provides half cover to any ally that is attacked through it. If this echo is between you and an attacker and your Veil Dance is already providing you half cover, you gain the benefits of three-quarters cover. Once this feature has been used it cannot be used again until after a short or long rest.
