Base Class: Rogue
Like the Assassin, Shadowdancer rogues have embraced darkness and weaponize it to accomplish their goals. I life in the shadows has allowed you to befriend the power of darkness and given you limited control over it. Wrap yourself in darkness and strike unseen. Shadowdancers can step silently from one shadow to the next to close distance or gain it. Their familiarity with the darkness lets them penetrate it visually, even if it is magically created. At the highest levels, the Shadowdancer can command the darkness to infiltrate and fool the mind of their target inflicting psychic damage.
Shadowstep
As a Bonus Action, the Shadowdancer steps into an unoccupied square of dim light, or darkness, and then teleports up to 10 feet to another unoccupied square that is in dim light or darkness. Because the square must be unoccupied, the Shadowdancer usually cannot use the shadow of another creature. [Provides free movements, but does not provide Advantage. per the Way of Shadow Monk]
The distance the Shadowdancer can teleport increases to 20ft at 5th level, 30ft at 7th level, 40ft at 9th level, 50ft at 11th level, 60ft at 13 level, 70ft at 15th level, 80ft at 17th level, and finally 90ft at 19th level.
Devil's Sight
You can see normally in darkness, both magical and non-magical, to a distance of 120 feet.
Cloak of Shadows
By 9th level, you have learned to become one with the shadows. When you are in an area of dim light or darkness, you can use your action to become invisible. You remain invisible until you make an attack, cast a spell, or are in an area of bright light.
Hungering Shade
At level 13, the Shadowdancer gains the use of Hungering Shade once per short rest.
Hungering Shade
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Shadow Save DC: 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Dex ModYou coerce the shadows to bend to your will and manifest weapons of war. Choose an unoccupied square adjacent to a creature you can see within range and create a shadow fiend which hounds your target to its dying breath. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target becomes frightened for the duration. At the start of each of the target's turns before the spell ends, the target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or take 4d10 necrotic damage. On a successful save, the spell ends.
Shadow Strike
The Shadowdancer takes advantage of the chaos of battle and jumble of shadows to strike unwitting opponents. When an enemy within 5 feet of the Shadowdancer is struck by an attack from a creature other than her, she may use her Reaction to make a single melee attack against that creature. The Shadowdancer may benefit from Sneak Attack on this strike, even if no ally is adjacent to the target or if she doesn’t have advantage.
