Base Class: Monk
This class focuses on improving the power of your unarmed strikes. You have a higher chance to critical, striking an opponent's weak point. You can more easily control a creature's bodily function by applying pressure to certain points. You can weaken an opponent's grip on their weapon, prevent them from speaking and, upon scoring a critical, shut down their body entirely. Monks of the way of the Body Striker should flavor their play style as attacking a creatures nerves, pressure points, and openings in their target's defenses.
Precision
At 3rd level, you are able to attack an enemy’s vital points with deadly accuracy. Attack rolls made with your unarmed strikes score a critical on a roll of a 19 or 20.
Pressure Point
Additionally, at 3rd level, when you land a hit using your flurry of blows feature, you can impose one of the following effects:
- Throat Chop: The creature must make a Constitution saving throw or be unable to speak until the end of your next turn.
- Arm Numbing: The creature must make a strength saving throw or have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of your next turn.
- Dancing Strike: You can switch places with the target of your attack if it is your size or smaller. When you and the creature move in this way, neither of you provoke opportunity attacks.
Nerve Pinch
At 6th level, when you land a critical hit with an unarmed strike, you deal extra damage equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1), and that creature has disadvantage on its next saving throw against your stunning strike feature this turn.
Knockout
At 11th level, as an action, you can spend 4 ki points to attempt to incapacitate a creature. Make an unarmed strike against a creature. If it hits, that creature takes normal damage and must make a Constitution saving throw or fall unconscious. The creature remains unconscious for 1 hour or until it takes any damage. You can end this effect as a bonus action on your turn.
Improved Precision
At 17th level, your attack rolls with your unarmed strikes score a critical on a roll of an 18, 19, or 20.
