Followers of the Spider god Elise practice a unique fighting style, using quick movements of spiders and scorpions to take control of the enemy. They have a thorough grasp of poisons, using them in combat to weaken enemies. 

Arachnid Biology

When you take this subclass at 3rd level, you gain a climbing speed equal to half your movement and a blindsight of 30 feet. Also, whenever you make an attack with a monk weapon, you can use your bonus action to make a grapple attack on someone within 5 feet of you.

Elise's Tutorship

When you chose this subclass at 3rd level, you may choose two Arachnid Teachings, which are detailed below.

Arachnophobia

As an action, you can frighten everyone within 30 feet of you, causing them to make a wisdom save, if they fail they are frightened of you  for 1 hour or until they make they pass the saving throw. If they succeed, you gain advantage on intimidation checks against them and they will listen to small commands , such as getting items or moving out of your way. They won't do anything that will bring them into direct harm or cause them to lose something, like money or reputation. The DC for this save is 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency bonus.

You also gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill, if you don't have it already.  

Scorpion's Claw

Whenever you make an unarmed attack with your hands, you can choose between bludgeoning and slashing for the damage type. Any attempts to escape your grapples are made with disadvantage and any damage you deal to a target you have grappled is increase by 2.

Scorpion's Stinger

By spending 3 ki points, you may make a stinger attack as part of the same action of a monk weapon attack. The stinger counts as a monk weapon and you can add your dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. It has a range of 10 feet and deals 2d8 piercing and 2d4 poison damage, this damage counts as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances. If the attack hits, the target must make a constitution saving throw or be poisoned. They can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns. The DC for this save equals 8 + your wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus. 

At 6th level, the poison damage ignores resistances and immunities.

Spider's Fang

As an action, you can make an bite attack, this attack deals both Piercing and Poison damage and it's damage die is a d4 for each damage die. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. You are also immune to poison damage and the poison condition.

Spider's Trap

Your Intelligence or Charisma score increases by 1 permanently. You may also replace any monk feature to do with your wisdom score/modifier, to use your intelligence or Charisma score/modifier. This does not apply to saving throws.

You gain advantage on any Performance or Deception check made in order to trick someone. You also gain advantage on Insight checks to discern if someone is trying to trick you. You also can proficiency in Disguise Kits, along with either the Performance or Deception skill.

Way of Web

You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged weapon attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is bludgeoning, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. At 6th level, these attacks become magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances. 

When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action.

As long as there are sufficiently high points of support around you, like buildings or trees, you gain a flying speed equal to your speed.

Venomous Discipline

At 6th level, whenever you make an attack with a monk weapon, you may add 1d4 poison damage to each attack. At 11th level, this damage ignores resistances and immunities to poison damage.

You can also spend 2 ki points to cast the web spell.

Elise's Favour

You gain two more Arachnid Teachings. Additionally, you are always under the effects of the Spider Climb spell.

Champion of the Spider God

At 17th level, you gain an exoskeleton, granting you a permanent +2 AC when not wearing armour. you can also attack thrice, instead oftwice, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. 

You also gain one more Arachnid Teaching.
