Base Class: Fighter
The Boxer is a fighter who uses nothing but their fists to deliver devastating blows to rattle their opponents.
Pugilistic Prowess
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in unarmed strikes, referred to hereafter as "punches". The damage die from your punches is 1d6 bludgeoning.
Bob and Weave
Additionally at 3rd level, whenever you use the Attack action to make a punch, you gain +2 to your AC and saving throws against attacks, spells, or effects that target only you from the creature you punched, as you put up your dukes, preparing to block their attacks with your ferocious fists.
Left-Right Hook
Lastly at 3rd level, when you use the Attack action to make a punch, you may use a bonus action to make another punch. Your fists count as melee weapons for the purpose of the Dueling fighting style (even if you strike with more than one hand, you may add +2 to your damage for every punch).
Crushing Blows
At 7th level, the damage die from your punches becomes a d8. Your punches count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Knockout Shot
At 10th level, the damage die from your punches becomes a d10. Additionally, you may add a Belt Bonus of +1 to the attack and damage roll for every punch you make.
Haymaker
At 15th level, the damage die from from your punches becomes a d12, and your Belt Bonus to attack and damage rolls for your punches increases to +2.
Undisputed Champion
At 18th level, you are the king of the ring. The damage die from every punch you make explodes to 2d8, and your Belt Bonus to attack and damage rolls for your punches increases to +3.

Posted Mar 31, 2025How are people saying 2d8 for a level 18 feature is too op?? I think this subclass is great, I am wondering how the 10th level feature works though as I don't think I understand what it means.

Posted Oct 5, 2018You guys have to understand that this is HOMEBREW for likely a HOMEBREW campaign with its own house rules and challenges. If you like the concept, but think it's op yourselves, houserule it in your own campaign. Jesus some of the negatively rated subclasses are just downvoted because of dumb reasons.

Posted Jul 25, 2018This subclass is too op . 2d8 for unarmed strikes is stupid, and so is using a d10 at 10th level when monks get that level 17 and their whole thing is using unarmed strikes

Posted May 25, 2018Looks a tad bit op, but impressive concept nonetheless. I'll keep watch over this in case it's updated.
