Bard
Base Class: Bard

Since before recorded history the wilds have entranced men with their beauty and danger. Tales have long been told of beautiful princesses singing from captivity in the forest, or hideous hags whose wicked chants turn men to beasts. Perhaps these are just tales told to teach children or maybe the truth lies deep in the wilds, thriving past the reach of sprawling cities or watchful mothers.

Wild Verse

At 3rd level, your presence blurs the line between beast and man. You may communicate with beasts and count as having a shared language when casting spells. You may treat all humanoids as beasts and all beasts as humanoids when casting spells

"We're all just animals"

Instinctual Inspiration

Starting at 6th level, As an action you may expend one use of bardic inspiration. When you do so, choose a creature you can see within 60 feet of you that can hear you, then roll your Bardic Inspiration die and choose one of the following.

  • The creature must succeed on a wisdom save against your spell save DC or have it’s intelligence score reduced by the number rolled on your Bardic Inspiration die for the duration.
  • The creature may increase it’s intelligence score by the number rolled on your Bardic Inspiration die. If this would increase a creature’s intelligence past 20 it is instead set to 20 for the duration.

Both effects last for one hour. You may not use this ability again on the same target for an hour

"To call you 'mad as a march hare' would be offensive to the hare."

Freed Spirits

At 14th level as an action, once per long rest, you may cast Mass Polymorph on all creatures affected by your Instinctual Inspiration. A creature that failed it’s save against Instinctual Inspiration automatically fails it’s save against Mass Polymorph. All polymorphed creatures retain their intelligence scores.
