Monk
Base Class: Monk

You have honed your body to physically overwhelm the opposition. Your technique is in equal parts an elegant dance and a brutal display of power. When used correctly, the enemy won't have anytime to breathe, drowning in a deluge of blows.

Dense Muscles

You are able to shrug off blows due to your trained body. At 3rd level, you can choose to substitute your Wisdom modifier for your Strength modifier for the armor class calculation of Unarmored Defense.

Chute Strikes

You have learned how to channel your energy into delivering brutal blows unto the enemy. At 3rd level, whenever you spend a ki point, you may add your Strength modifier to the next attack that lands. This effect does not stack with different uses of ki points (i.e, you cannot stack 2 charges of Chute Strikes if you use Step of the Wind and then Stunning Strike).

Concussive Rapids

When you hit 6th level, you learn to take advantage of an enemy's openings. When you use the Stunning Strike feature, you may replace the Wisdom part of the calculation for the ki save DC with Strength instead. Additionally, whenever you successfully stun with Stunning Strike, you may perform an Unarmed Strike immediately afterwards as a free action.

Flowing Water

At 11th level, you are able to keep up an overwhelming offense even through defensive actions. When the opponent misses a melee attack against you, you can use your reaction to instantly counterattack with an Unarmed Strike if they are within range. You can also perform this feature without using a reaction if you use a ki point. If an opponent misses against you while you are using the Dodge action, you may perform this counterattack without using your reaction, but you can only do this once per unique enemy that misses against you. You must spend a ki point for additional counterattacks beyond the first.

Cascade

You have achieved mastery of the Waterfall technique. At 17th level, whenever you perform an Unarmed Strike as part of the Flowing Water or Concussive Rapids feature, you may perform another on the same target at no additional cost as long as it's done immediately after the first. You also gain access to a new technique. By spending 8 ki points, you can use your bonus action to enter an ultra-focused state for 1-minute. During this, you:

  • Can use the Deflect Missiles feature with no reaction
  • Gain advantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws
  • Can double the amount of bonus damage granted by the Chute Strikes feature

You can end this state as a free action, but it must be at the start of your turn. Whether it ends by the passage of time or by your own will, you are Restrained until the start of your next turn, as you have overloaded your senses.
