Base Class: Cleric
The Revenance Domain is concerned with the forces that provide usefulness beyond the bounds of death. Deities such as Kiaransalee, Bhaal, Bane, Hoar, and Myrkul are commonly worshipped by clerics of this domain.
Domain Spells
You gain domain spells at the cleric levels listed in the Revenance Domain Spells table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work.
Revenance Domain Spells
| Cleric level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 1st | False Life, Ray of Sickness |
| 3rd | Blindness/Deafness, Gentle Repose |
| 5th | Animate Dead, Vampiric Touch |
| 7th | Blight, Death Ward |
| 9th | Danse Macabre, Negative Energy Flood |
Revenant Initiate
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill, and you gain two cantrips of your choice from the wizard spell list, one of which must be from the Necromancy school of magic. For you, these cantrips count as cleric cantrips.
Channel Divinity: Brand of the Revenant
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to mark your enemies for vengeance.
As a bonus action, you present your holy symbol, and one creature that you can see within 60 ft. becomes branded for 1 minute. Once during this minute, anytime you deal damage to the branded creature with necrotic damage, you may maximize the damage instead of rolling the dice. The brand ends on the creature if damage is dealt this way.
Additionally, if an animated or summoned undead creature under your control hits the branded creature with a weapon attack, the next attack roll you make against it has advantage OR the branded creature has disadvantage against the next spell you cast that causes it to roll a saving throw.
Call of the Dead
Starting at 6th level, whenever you create or summon an undead using a necromancy spell, it has the following additional benefits:
- The creature's hit point maximum is increased by an amount equal to half your cleric level (rounded down).
- The creature adds your spellcasting modifier to its attack rolls (unless the creature already has a scaling "to hit" bonus, such as in the Summon Undead Spirit (UA) spell)
- Whenever the creature rolls a saving throw to save against the effects of Turn Undead, it does so with advantage and gets an additional bonus to the save equal to your proficiency bonus.
Potent Spellcasting
Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.
Revenant Mastery
At 17th level, you choose four spells from any spell list and of either the Necromancy or Abjuration schools, one from each of the following levels: 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. You add them to your list of domain spells. Like your other domain spells, they are always prepared and count as cleric spells for you.
