Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You or someone in your bloodline had sworn allegiance to The Mummy Lord, a powerful guardian resurrected by Dark Gods in order to protect the honored dead.  Your pact could have been made for survival, a last resort in order to keep yourself from facing the lord and their curses.  Yet, it could have also been because of your bloodline, your family swearing to work under the Mummy Lord in order to protect the temples or tombs of ancient dead.

It is rare for Warlocks of this nature to abandon their position, however, it is not unheard of.  These people still have the fragment of the Mummy's power, but will feel a strong drive to return to their position.

Some might be on the search for relics that the dead might have wanted before their demise as a form of pilgrimage.  Attempting to retrieve it at any cost, for the pharaoh's holy slumber matters more than that of the guards.

Expanded Spell List

The Mummy Lord lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Mummy Lord Expanded Spells

The Mummy's Curse

Starting at 1st level, you have been given the curse of your Mummy patron. As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The target is cursed for 1 minute, but can be resisted if the target can succeed on a wisdom saving throw.  The curse is at random and chosen from rolling a d6 on the curse table.

You can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

Lost Sands of the Pharaoh

Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a whirlwind that is immune to all forms of damage as a reaction.  Along with that, you can move double your movement speed in any direction without provoking an attack of opportunity.  Any space you occupy will count as difficult terrain.  The ability will only last until the start of your next turn, where you will revert into your true form and push any enemy 5 feet away from the space you occupied.

You do not regain this ability until after a short or long rest.

Mummification Process

At 10th level, your servitude to The Mummy Lord has made you resistant to necrotic damage and grants you the ability to change one damage type into necrotic once per short rest.

Calling on his Name

Starting at 14th level, once per long rest, you can call upon your patron to assist you in battle as an action.  This comes in the form of a giant sandstorm that will engulf the area.  Everything in this area counts as difficult terrain to enemies and attempting to leave will cause 4d10 necrotic damage per round.  The barrier lasts a minute before dissipating.
