Base Class: Druid
The Circle of the Deathbloom is composed of druids who revere the process of decomposition as the ultimate form of renewal and rebirth. They often spend their lives in solitude as they release the energy trapped in the dead and imbue the earth with fertility and growth. The druids have a strong affinity for the fungus and vermin who play the critical role of natural decomposers. Although they are generally shunned and associated with the dark art of necromancy, these druids abhor undeath.
Fungal Wild Shape
When you take this circle at 2nd level, you may also take the shape of blights, fungi, and spores when using Wild Shape.
When assuming a beast form with Wild Shape, you can choose to apply the Spore Servant template to it (MM p.230)
Spore Servant Template
A spore servant is any Large or smaller creature brought back to life by the animating spores of a myconid sovereign. A creature that was never flesh and blood to begin with (such as a construct, elemental, ooze, plant, or undead) can't be turned into a spore servant. The following characteristics change or are added to a creature that becomes a spore servant.
Retained Characteristics. The servant retains its Armor Class, hit points, Hit Dice, Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, vulnerabilities, resistances, and immunities.
Lost Characteristics. The servant loses its original saving throw and skill bonuses, special senses, and special traits. It loses any action that isn't Multiattack or a melee weapon attack that deals bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage. If it has an action or a melee weapon attack that deals some other type of damage, it loses the ability to deal damage of that type, unless the damage comes from a piece of equipment, such as a magic item.
Type. The servant's type is plant, and it loses any tags.
Alignment. The servant is unaligned.
Speed. Reduce all the servant's speeds by 10 feet, to a minimum of 5 feet.
Ability Scores. The servant's ability scores change as follows: Int 2 (-4), Wis 6 (-2), Cha 1 (-5).
Senses. The servant has blindsight with a radius of 30 feet, and it is blind beyond this radius.
Condition Immunities. The servant can't be blinded, charmed, frightened, or paralyzed.
Languages. The servant loses all known languages, but it responds to order given to it by myconids using rapport spores. The servant gives highest priority to orders received from the most powerful myconid.
Attacks. If the servant has no other means of dealing damage, it can use its fists or limbs to make unarmed strikes. On a hit, an unarmed strike deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1d4 + the servant's Strength modifier, or, if the servant is Large, 2d4 + its Strength modifier.
Regrowth
Starting at 2nd level, you can harness the energy of the fallen to germinate new life. Up to 1 minute after a Small or larger creature's death, you can use an action to magically decompose its corpse to grow plants or plant creatures. You may summon any number of plant creatures whose combined challenge rating does not exceed 1/2. At 4th level, the maximum CR increased to your druid level divided by 4. CR 0 creatures count as 1/8 for the purpose of calculating combined challenge rating.
The summoned creatures are friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the summoned creatures as a group, which has its own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to them, they defend themselves from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions. The DM has the creatures statistics.
The creatures will return to their spawning location when you take a long rest and will not obey further commands from you. You must finish a short or long rest before you can use this feature again. You can only have plant creatures grown from one corpse under your command at a time. Corpses decomposed this way cannot be raised as corporeal undead.
Circle Spells
Your link to decomposition and decay grants you access to certain spells. At 2nd level, you learn the infestation cantrip. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Deathbloom Spells table.
Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Return to the Earth
When you reach 6th level, when your summoned plant and beast creatures die, you can immediately use your reaction to return them to the earth. The creature releases a burst of healing energy which imbues all creatures within 5 feet with life. The creatures regain 1d8 hit points for every 1 challenge rating the summoned creature had. Creatures with a challenge rating lower than 1 do not release enough energy to heal.
Putrid Inoculation
Beginning at 10th level, you are immune to disease, the poisoned condition, and poison damage, and you have resistance to necrotic damage.
Fertilize
At 14th level, you can spend an action to decompose dead or rotting plants, beasts, and humanoids within 30 feet. Whenever you decay something this way, the biomass is absorbed into the ground and you can harness its energy. Corpses decomposed this way cannot be raised as corporeal undead.
Grow a mundane plant or fungus. The size of the plant that grows cannot exceed the size of the corpse decayed.
Cause existing plants to overgrow. If the corpse is medium or larger, the area in a 5 foot radius around the corpse becomes difficult terrain. If the corpse is small or smaller, the corpses space is treated as difficult terrain. If a creature is standing on land when it becomes overgrown, they must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or become entangled in the undergrowth. A creature that fails this save is subject to the grappled condition until it spends an action to break free of the brush.
Siphon its trapped life energy. You gain temporary hit points equal to the corpses hit die.
Enrich the land for one season. All plants in a 50 foot radius centered on the corpse become enriched for one season. The plants yield twice the normal amount of food when harvested.
