Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Colonel Sanders is a legendary figure spoken about in awe on the material plane. His origins are mysterious, and every legend tells it differently. Some say he was a demigod, some say he made a pact with an evil fiend for his powers that he later overcame, some say he was a mortal man blessed with these skills. Regardless every legend agrees that he was an amazing man with even more amazing cooking. He is considered the patron saint of chefs and cooks despite not really being a god himself. However, all who know of him know he has not fallen. He scours the multiverse in the hunt for even finer ingredients, gaining greater power along the way. Sometimes he will even grant this power to a promising chef that asks for it.

Finger Lickin Good

Your Patron gives you access to his mythical knowledge of cooking. You immediately gain proficiency with cook’s utensils. You also gain a set of cook’s utensils. These cook’s utensils count as an arcane focus for you. If they are ever lost or destroyed you can receive a new set from the Colonel over a short rest.

In addition to this you have the ability to gift your food prepared with these utensils magical effects. You can only use one of these effects. You can only cook for a number of creatures equal to the cost of the ingredients, for every 5 silver spent, one creature.

  • You can make a number of creatures that consume this food gain temporary HP until your next short or long rest equal to your CHA modifier (min 1). These temporary hit points do not add to other temporary hit points and are removed by another feature that grants temporary hit points.
  • You can charm a creature that consumes your food. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. This charm lasts for 1 hour and afterwards the character does not know they were charmed but remembers the events only hazily. A creature can attempt to figure out that it was charmed only by using a modify memory spell to restore that time.
  • You can magically double the food from the amount you were cooking with. You can feed twice as many creatures as you would normally be able to.

Blessed Dining

Starting at 6 level, the Colonel grants you even greater power with food. As a reaction you can target one creature has consumed your food within the last 24 hours and cast one of the magical effects.

  • If the target makes a saving throw you can make them automatically succeed before they roll.
  • If the target misses with a weapon attack they can make another weapon attack as a bonus action.
  • If the target’s spell fails you can expend a spell slot of higher level’s than the target’s to restore that spell slot.

This feature can only target a creature once per day. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (min once). You regain all uses of it over a short or long rest.

Pot Pie Power Pinch

Starting at tenth level, Colonel Sanders gives you access to one of his special attacks. You can use this special attack in two ways

  • You can target one creature within five feet of you and force that target to make a constitution saving throw, with disadvantage if the target has eaten in a number of hours equal to your charisma modifier prior to the attack. On a failed save the target takes 3d6 radiant damage and 3d6 psychic damage and immediately is given one level of exhaustion due to the food in their stomach rotting away. On a successful save they take no psychic damage and suffers no exhaustion.
  • You can touch one bit of food and imbue it with the mythical flavors of the colonel. Any creature that consumes some of this food is fully fed for the entire day and has one level of exhaustion removed if any are present. One hour after this feature is used the food disappears

You can only use this feature up to twice per day. A use of it can be restored by making a cooking check (treat as a proficient charisma skill) and using fine ingredients worth at least 20 gold pieces. If the feature has been used once, the DC is equal to 10 + half your CHA modifier (Round down), if it has been used twice it is equal to 10 + your CHA modifier (minimum of one)

Harmonious Cooking

At fourteenth level your cooking skills become so skilled that they are capable of harmonizing with the Colonel’s cooking skills themselves. Due to this he respects you as a chef and grants you a boon.

Once per day you can use one of the following features

  • You can cast the teleport spell without expending a warlock spell slot. The standard rules apply but when you arrive you appear in a storm of cherry blossoms, alerting all creatures in the room to your presence.
  • As an action you can summon the Colonel’s steed. You summon a magnificent horse with great splendor. The horse can only be removed by a dispel magic spell of fifth level or greater, anything lesser fails. It only takes 5 ft of your movement to mount the horse, you are always considered proficient in riding this horse, and you never have to make an animal handling check to soothe it. The horse has 60 ft of movement, can move over water, and ignores difficult terrain. The horse’s movement provokes no attacks of opportunity as even the most savage enemy is too awed by its splendor. Another creature can ride the horse with you if they have consumed food you have prepared. The horse lasts until you dispel it as a bonus action or until you take a short or long rest.
  • You can target one creature within 60 ft of you, the target must make a constitution saving throw. On a failed save the target is brought up five levels of exhaustion and takes 4d10 radiant damage as the very calories are drained from their body. On a successful save a creature takes half radiant damage and is only brought up one level of exhaustion

During a short rest you can regain a use of this feature by collecting extremely rare and high-quality ingredients that you have found (650 gp minimum) and offer them to the Colonel. These ingredients are immediately consumed by the effect as they are transported to the Colonel himself.
